My DD is 6 (very small for her age) we use a carseat not a booster for her here at home. Do I need one for Magic Express from the airport to WDW? Are there seatbelts????? Have been to WDW many times but always rented a can and checked the carseat. I am grinning from ear to eat thinking we will be able to leave the carseat in the van at the airport when we leave!!!! :goodvibes

No carseat required. I don't belive there are seatbelts, but I can't remember.

there are no seatbelts and they have tvs going in the bus anyway, which helps keep the kids seated.:happytv:

I don't think carseats are even possible on DME?? I *love* leaving the carseats in the van when we get on the plane!!!

Car seats are NOT allowed on ME, becuase there is no way to secure them to the bus seat. If you have one, you will be asked to store it under the bus until you arrive at your resort.

There are no seatbelts on the bus either, but if you put your wiggly ones by the window, it works out OK.

I'm not cool w/ my seats being under the bus, hmmmm. I don't want to use them on the bus, I just want to see them and make sure they're o.k. lol Oh and not getting dirty!

They aren't going anywhere, just along for the ride. And if you don't want them to get dirty then get bags for them.

We have cheap-o carseats that we use for the plane rides. No way I am hauling radians through the airport at 50lbs a piece.

Radians are so awesome on the plane though! I'm still trying to decide which seats I want to take, lol. They're only like 26# a piece. ;)

This made me chuckle, but so true, I mean where else would you put them? If you are worried just throw a couple trash bags in your carry on and throw them into those before putting them under.

Our second car seat in DH's car (used 1-3x/month) is a Cosco Scenera. It only weighs 10 lbs and is around $50 at Target or Wal-Mart. It even comes with its own travel bag (with a handle!). We have a Britax Boulevard in our main car (and my DD is still rear facing at 22 months so I am all about car seat safety), but I highly recommend the Cosco Scenera. It rear faces to 35 lbs and forward faces to 40 lbs. They also have a High Back Booster seat (weighs 11.5 lbs and is about $55) that has a 5 point harness to 40 lbs and is for kids up to 80 lbs as a belt-positioning booster. We also have a Graco travel bag that will fit convertible seats and infant seats - $20 at Target - that has been great.

And the PPs were right about the ME - no car seats allowed and no seat belts.

I'd recommend the scenera as well.. those are our 2nd car seats in DH's truck.. I've got britax's in the van. They are light, easy to install, have great ratings, and have a highish rear facing weight :)

The Avenues are a little more, but a better seat b/c it's slightly taller and has EPP foam in it, whereas the Scenera has nothing.

I am thrilled that I will not have to carry a car seat through the airport etc....yeah!!!!!

no carseats and I have 3 kids under 5 so my favorite thing is leaving the 3 carseats at home!!!
