Since we are planning on flying into MCO & using DME, is there a smaller carseat that someone would suggest for the flight? I know you don't use carseats on the DME busses & would hate to lug our big convertible if there's an alternative. Any suggestions for a more compact, safe seat for my YDS?

We have a Britax Boulevard for our baby so when we flew over Thanksgiving I didn't want to lug that heavy thing through the airport so I checked into several car seats and this is what I found. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4232167 I am not sure I am able to post the site so if it isn't working it is called the Safety 1st onSide Air Convertible Car Seat - Clearwater. I was only able to find it at ToysRUs. It is only $59 and very comfortable and lightweight. We were very happy with it and now keep it in our extra vehicle for the few times we take it.

:goodvibes Thank you! The link worked fine & that looks like exactly the thing I'm looking for!

I have seen a lot of people recommending the Cosco Scenera as well. It is about the same price but I thought the one I purchased was much more comfortable and had a lot more padding than the Cosco one.

When we travel, we use the Cosco Scenera. It has worked well for us. It's smaller and lighter than our Britax Marathon, so it's much easier to carry it through the airport.

The Scenera has different height/weight limits for RFing and FFing than my Britax does, and I almost didn't notice that. So, whatever seat you get, be sure to read the manual and don't be a dummy like me! :upsidedow

The OnSide Air is essentially a deluxe version of the Scenera. If you just want an inexpensive travel convertible, I would go with the Scenera -- you can find them just about anywhere. They all forward-face to 40lbs; most of them rear-face to 35lbs but the ones at Target RF to 40lbs as well. :lovestruc

The OnSide Air and Scenera are the same price.:goodvibes

Another option is a Cares harness. You can google it. This would only work if you have no plans to use anything other then Disney transportation.
I have 2 Scenera's for child care. They are a good choice for an inexpensive seat. So far they have worked out very well front and rear facing.
