Does anyone know where I could find a list of cars/trucks/vans that have a 3rd row of seating? Any recommendations?

Not quite ready to purchase one yet but probably next year...it doesn't need to be a new car, in fact a gently used car 2007 + would work as well.

I don't know where you could find a list, but just off the top of my head ~

Chevy Traverse (which we have and I ).
Buick Enclave
GMC Acadia
Honda Pilot
Dodge Durango
Lincoln Navigator
Chevy Suburban

Virtually any mini-van you look at will have a 3rd row of seating and none of the trucks. :)

We also have a Chevy Traverse and love it. I was hesitant to buy a Chevy (My previous two cars were Toyotas), but we wanted something with a 3rd row but not too huge. We've had it about a year now and still love it. Even took it to WDW earlier this summer. :) It's essentially a mini van but without the sliding doors.

Ford Expedition also has a third row.

We love our Honda Pilot. It seats 8 and we have had 8 in there before.

We have a Chevy Tahoe with third row seating and love it. I've had it for five years now and hope to have many more with it.

We had a Ford Expedition for several years & loved it. We had 2nd row Captains chairs so ours only would seat 7. I loved the electric 3rd row seat. I could fold down the entire seat, 1/3 or 2/3 of it because it had the split 60/40 seat. It was easy with the push of a button.

My younger DS & DDIL just got the Traverse and they really like it. The third row seems roomy and there is still room behind to stow stuff. I have a Toyota Highlander and there is a third row bench, but it's a very tight squeeze for an adult. It might be fine for kids who seatbelt themselves (wouldn't want to have to lean back and buckle a little one into a carseat.)

Toyota Highlander
Nissan Pathfinder
Mazda CX9 (I think)

We're on our second Ford Expedition. :goodvibes They're good, safe cars and can seat up to 8 people with plenty of leg & head room.

We are on our 4th Ford Taurus station wagon, and they have a third row of seats. Needless to say, we like them.

Toyota Sequoia

We are a family of 7 and have driven to Disney 4 times in it. Twice through the night. It's great and roomy but not as big as the Suburban or Yukon (to big for me to park!)

In Vegas we had a driver for an event, the driver was in the Chevy Tahoe with the 3rd row...man that was a nice ride....it was brand new and you could tell. :)

We have a Dodge Grand Caravan, it's got the Stow n Go seats for the last row and Captains chairs, we love that thing. :) Big enough for all of us and our dogs. :)

We just bought a 2007 Honda Pilot a couple of weeks ago. So far so good! It had about 36,000 miles on it and ended up being about $15,000 less than a new Pilot so we were happy.

It seats 8 and the 3rd row folds down easily if needed. However, there is not a whole lot of storage space in the back w/ the 3rd row up. IMO

I have a Ford Explorer (not Expedition) with the third row and I love it!!!
In fact, I just got it back today. It was in the body shop being repaired after tornado damage.

Anyway, I didn't want a huge (Yukon, Expedition, Suburban) SUV, but liked the idea of a 3rd row just in case. We looked at Nissan Pathfinders, Jeep Commanders, and a Toyota SUV with a 3rd row.. and this one had the most leg/ cargo room. The 3rd row is NOT huge by any means, but it is comfortable. We have had 6ft+ over 200lb guys back there a couple times and they said it was roomy enough. As far as cargo room, when the 3rd row is "up," the depth is about 12-15". (I hope that makes sense.) The 3rd row folds up and down really easily. I only have 1 child, but wanted the 3rd row "just in case." If you NEED a 3rd row, I would go with a large SUV or mini van. If you will only use the 3rd row occasionally, this car is great.

On a side note.. we are driving from OK to CA this summer, and my DH had the idea to let DS ride in the 3rd row when he gets sleepy. That way if he leans, he won't be leaning on a car door, he will be leaning on the side of the car. I thought this was a great idea. I fell out of a car when I was about 6 from leaning on the door. My mom jumped out of the car to look for me (after parking the car) and I had already crawled back in the backseat! She was definitely freaking out for a minute!! I like the idea of kids not falling out of cars....

We have had 2 different Nissan Armadas with third row. Love them! Had a Trailblazer with third row, but it was nothing but a headache, would never recommend it!

There are really two different classes of vehicles with 3rd rows. Some are large SUVs - where the 3rd row is substantial in space but the vehicle is also substantial. Ford Expedition, Lincoln Nav, Toyota Sequia, Chevy Suburban Nissan Armada, etc all fall into that. I decided it was just too big for me. Then you have slightly smaller SUVs/Crossovers with a token 3rd row. Large enough for 2 children, or small adults, but not really practical for cross country trips with people in the back. Plus the 3rd row takes up the majority of the storage space behind the backseat. Toyota Highlander, Honda Pilot, Kia Sorento, older Hyundai Santa Fe, Hyundai Veracruz, Ford Explorer, Chevy Traverse, Mazda CX9, Suburu Tribeca, etc.

I opted for one from the second list. The 3rd row would rarely be used and I needed better gas mileage and a smaller car since the majority of the time, it's just me. I bought a Mazda CX9 - used (2007) and LOVE it. Can't tell you how well it suits our lifestyle. It's built on a Ford Edge platform and drives like a car. It was also an affordable price point for us and has a good CR reliability record. I recently folded down both rows (which lay flat) and got an amazing amt of stuff in the back. I've also taken 6 adults for a drive in and everyone was comfortable.

We started our search at the car show, since I could sit in and mess around with just about every car out there in one hour (with no pesky salespeople!). Might be worth your time to visit one if they come near you anytime soon.

Dh and I both have the Explorer with the 3rd row. I bought one first, and he liked it so much he got one just like it (different colors). There are 5 of us in the family, so we don't use the 3rd row much. But it is so nice to have room to transport the kids' friends. There isn't much room, as others have said, when the seats are in use. But when they are folded down I can transport a ton of baseball equipment!

Just to add to your list we have a mercury mountaineer.

We got a Ford Taurus X crossover last year and have been very pleased with it. It has the 3rd row and room behind that to store stuff. I get 25-27 mpg, and the car is very comfortable and roomy - easy to drive and easy to park.

These can be purchased very reasonably since the 2009 models were the last ones made (not a problem as far as parts go though because it shares so many parts with the other Ford crossovers). I really hate that they stopped them because I'm sure would want another one after I'm done with this one.
