This is truly one of the worst publicized "PR" campaigns. The PR company should be fired. I've googled, I've looked up the State Farm, Pixar and the official Cars websites and found nothing on the specifics. I even tried to call Pixar but no one answered the phone!

Good news is I stumbled across the location for the San Francisco stop this Sunday, May 7. But it's not even in SF! It's at the Serramonte Shopping Center in Daly City from 4-7pm.

Seems like most of the stops are at malls, so if you don't have any luck getting details from a State Farm agent, PR rep or whoever, you might start visiting the websites of local malls in your area and looking at their events calendar (That was my strategy). Good luck!!! :cheer2:

I completely agree! I didn't find anything out about it until just a few days prior to them arriving here. I pride myself on being a pretty good "searcher" on Google and I wasn't able to find anything. Of course now everyone has posted the press release on their personal blogs which just adds to the confusion.

Let me just plant a little suggestion to all you fans of Pixar, Nascar, and of course Disney. I am a Disney fan - make no mistake about that. But consider if you will that perhaps these large corporations decided to capitalize on a idea that already belonged to someone else. Do you really think that the idea for Cars came from John Lasseter's imagination while on a trip with his son?

***Think again fans***

This idea was presented long ago to Nascar. Even though the concept was passed over, isn't it simply amazing that it ended up becoming a major feature film anyway. Even the details of the characters and storylines are eerily similar. Gee wiz guys, you could have changed it a little. Just consider if you will...Perhaps the hollywood tradition of idea snatching is alive and well and taking up residence at Disney. :sad2:

Mubs33's first three posts are all identical on this thread. Looks like someone is a) bitter, b) bitter or c) bitter, about the cars movie.

Didn't someone sue Disney and lose for "stealing" an idea?

Back on topic, any info on Dallas??? Will the Dis come through, or will it fail me again? Stay tuned to this thread, same Mouse time, same Mouse channel to find out!

Mubs33 needs to consider the fact that if anyone is going to produce a feature such as Cars, shouldn't it be Disney/Pixar? I can say for a fact that its a great movie - I've seen it already in a screening - and I don't think anyone could have even came close to making it as good Disney/Pixar did.

The "CARS" movie is amazing, I loved it and I can't wait to see it again when it opens next week. I think Disney/Pixar did a great job on the movie and the details in the film look incredible. I would say a must see Disney movie!!!
