Cars Merchandise

We leave for Disneyland Nov 29th. That will be my oldest's 7th birthday. He is obsessed with Cars. Is there any good merchandise for a present? Also DS #3 will be 2 in October. He will not be tall enough to ride Radiator Springs. He is going to be furious. (Yes we keep telling him he is too short, but he is only 2.) What cheap, under $20 toy can he get. He has some left over Christmas or Easter money, and DH and I were going to let him spend it there.


Also is there any Planes merchandise? All my boys love Planes, but not as much as Cars.

Note: DS #3 honestly thinks he is going to be 5. He wants to be just like his brothers, what they do, he does. I am already prepared for the tantrum.

The shops in Carsland (e.g., Sarges, Curios, and Ramone's) have some unique Cars merchandise, plus a wide selection of the die cast Cars cars that you can often find some of the same toy cars at your local Target or other retailers. They do have a die cast version of Mater and McQueen in Disney hats and a die cast version of the RSR car (I don't know if either are under $20). I've only seen these at the Disney Parks. Humphrey's in Grizzly Airfield has some Planes merchandise.

There's a lot of Cars merch that is specific just to Cars Land, and anything for kids you'll want to look at Sarge's Surplus Hut. The other stores have more merchandise geared towards adults. I can't remember specific prices off the top of my head for most things at the moment, but some of the more popular toys are the plastic bath toy set, the light chaser (that I know is $15 with tax), and the die cast cars - especially the Star Wars themed ones. There are also two plushes available, one of Mater and one of Lightning.

Sarge's Surplus Hut also (currently) has a couple of Planes items available, but no telling how long that will last.

Thank you everyone!!!! I am looking forward to DS #3 1st trip! Last trip I had just found out I was pregnant with him!

The shop connected to Ramone's (right near the entrance to RSR) also has a fair amount of toys (mostly the same stuff as Sarge's, but sometimes a few different items).
