I am just starting planning a possible DL trip for June. Everything I see says Cars Land is opening Summer 2012--does any one know the tentative date...is mid June a possibility? TIA

It's all speculation at this point because there could be rain delays, but DLR is trying to get Cars Land open by Memorial Day.
