We were there in June for the opening of Cars Land. We thought it was REALLY cool, and so did all the other millions of people there! Just wondering...has it lived up to its hype? Are people still lining up super-early for Fast Passes, and are wait times still ridiculous? We will be back in June of '13 and I was just curious...:confused3

Yes.
Yes.
Yes.

For RSR but I don't think as much for the other rides - the lines were not especially long for Mater and Luigi this week

depending on what day of the week you go, you can get onto radiator springs racers at a much more reasonable time, especially compared to what it was in summer. i went on a monday morning and the wait was 35 minutes at 10 am. and when i got into the park around 8:15 am, there was no super long line for RSR anymore and i was able to get a fast pass for 11:30 am.

We were there oct 29th to Nov 1st. We rode RSR 2x during our visit. Waits weren't bad at all, IMHO. Perhaps I went in expecting the worse. Tuesday Oct 30th in the evening we did stanby. Posted wait time was 40 mins, we waited 27 prior to loading. Wednesday morning 10/31, we slept in (felt so guily for not using our EMH entry) but the kids were super tired and it was a vacation so we decided to sleep in. We arrived at DCA at 930am went straight to RSR FP, no line, return time for 130pm... we rode that evening with a 10 min wait.

ps. There were several times during our visit to where I felt the parks were not crowded what so ever... it was weird. Again, maybe I expected the worse, so I was delightfully pleased. I plan to post a full TR later this week.

We were there 10/28-10/31 and we started two of our days at DCA with the EMH and had no wait at all to board RSR. In fact the 29th we rode RSR 3x in a row with no line at all for each ride. When we were there in July for 10 days each morning of EMH had hoardes of people and the line formed right away. If you are staying on site and use the EMH you can ride mutiple times now without a long wait, unlike this past summer.

See, "hype" to me means "a big deal over nothing". CarsLand is not nothing. There's no "hype" about it, there's just *excitement*. And yes, there is still excitement over it. Many, many people in the world still haven't seen it, and even with those who have seen it, they still want to see it again and again.

It's still busy, but there are days and times now that you can catch it with a short wait. For example, Monday Evening the line was at 50 min, single rider was 10. This afternoon, it went up to two hour wait, 45 min single rider. So yes, it's still busy, but if you plan accordingly you can avoid the madness.

Still super crowded and now the Christmas stuff is up and very cool! :)
