The only time my husband could take his vacation this year was June 19-26. We have two day park hopper tickets and I know that Cars Land opens on the 15th. How bad do you think the crowds are going to be while we are there? We were planning on going to DL and DCA on the 20th and 21st. It's a Wednesday and Thursday. I feel that those will be the best days to visit during our stay in California. We went last year at the beginning of June and the crowds weren't bad at all. There were two grad nites while we were there but that didn't make a difference. Just wondering what you thought? I'm a little scared!

crowded

Sorry I expect it to be crowded from June 15th - through the holidays at least. The crowds won't be dying down for quite awhile.

To see Cars Land aboslutely do it on the 20th. If you want it to be part of your trip that is the day to choose. Because on the 21st is a Grad Nite. The Grads will all get 2 FPs, and with marketing of the new land soon approaching you can bet that they will be looking at using them on Radiator Spring Racers.

Expect multihour lines in Carsland with Radiator Springs Racers being upto several hours long. It does have FP so if you can send someone to get Fast Passes for it, that can be waiting with all the ticket in hand at park opening. the FPs will likely be gone in under and hour if they last that long. Pay attention to Disney Fan sites for experiences of how the queues and RSR FP work in the week before your visit.

Otherwise it's just going to be very busy.

If we can't get into Carsland then that's okay. We can walk through it, we don't have to do the rides. My son is super excited to ride California Screamin again, he rode it 5 time last year. I will FP that one. Last year we went the week after Star Tours and Little Mermaid opened. The wait for Star Tours was 6 hours! We didn't ride that one. But the crowds weren't bad at all. Maybe the majority of the people will stay at DCA and not drift over to DL too much?

This is very possible since a lot of the visitors only get a sinlge days one park ticket, this will be a time they choose DCA.

The 20th and 21st of June are blackout date for Southern California pass holders too. That should help!
