Cars Character M & G?

Is there anywhere in the parks where you can meet the Cars characters? My husband is a Huge cars fanatic (he as all but 3 of the diecast cars). This is his first trip down, and we are going Jan 12th-22nd for a wedding. But I would love to get his photos with any of the characters. Thanks in advance!

We were down in October and I remember that Mater and Lighting McQueen came out right before the Power Rangers at MGM. I beleive they come out several times a days, more so in the morning than the afternoon. We stayed with the Power Rangers (since my son is a HUGE Power Rangers fan), but I believe that the CARS characters go down a side street where you can pose for pictures with them. The start out right in front of the Lights, Motor, Action (is that the correct name??) stunt show theater.

We were in WDW a few weeks ago and tried to go to the 4:15 meet and greet. We got there about 10 minutes early and the line was already closed!! However, I'm guessing because it was the last greet of the day, they did kind of a free for all after everyone in line had their turn and just let people go up at will. It actually worked out pretty well and wasn't a mob and I was able to get some pretty good pictures.

We were there earlier this month and I suggest getting there a full hour ahead of the listed time if seeing the cars are really important to you.

We got there 10 min early for a morning M&G and the line was closed. Later that afternoon I made dh go an hour early...as he is standing there griping that we were there MUCH too early... I realized that there were already about 10 people on line. They closed the line about 15min or so after we got there!

We were first in line for the morning meet and greet and got great pictures. I would say 5 seconds after the CM said we were first in line I turned around and the line was around the corner. We had first seating at breakfast and were farther into the park then most.
