Cars and Peter Pan

Ds, 4 1/2, is really into the movie Cars and really into Peter Pan. He really wants to go on "Rt. 66". Is there anything at or around DL that would fulfill his wish of "going on Rt. 66" as well as meeting Lighting and Mater?

I am of course assuming that seeing Peter Pan is not an impossibility. Am I correct in that assumption?

And while I'm at it, ds turns 5 on June 25th. Is that an insane time to go? Would it be worth it for his 5th birthday?

We met Peter Pan at DL a couple of weeks ago. He was walking near Ariel's Grotto. I had never seen him available for autographs before, but maybe that was just me. DS met up with him and Peter was quite chatty. Also, when we were at DCA, we saw 2 cars from Cars. Lightning McQueen and the tow truck. They drove to the pavilion area across the water from the sunwheel. Once parked, guests were invited to "meet" the cars and pose for photos. My kids aren't into Cars so we didn't get close enough to know if the cars spoke or just revved their engines. It was pretty cute, though.

If Peter Pan is out for autographs, it's usually early morning on Main Street, near the Fire Station. Also, if you want to do the Peter Pan ride, I would suggest going there first, right after getting a FP for another ride. The line for PP gets very long very quickly. You might consider getting a FP for Autopia. It isn't "Cars" themed, but at least it's cars.

Mater and McQueen are found in DCA as described in another post. We have seen them each time we've been there for the past few months.

We met Peter Pan at Goofy's Kitchen in December. It will be busy when you go, but I wouldn't let that stop me.

We met Peter Pan up by IASW along with Wendy. It was about mid day.

We have seen Peter Pan on almost every trip in Fantasyland in the middle of the day. He is usually out with Captain Hook and Wendy terrorizing guests. We've been messed with a few times by the PP gang. They are a lot of fun.

We saw Peter with Captain Hook in FL in December, if you do get to see Captain Hook have your DS say "Tick Tock" to him, he will get upset and look around for the croc.

We saw Peter Pan a couple times on our trip. I was so excited because I love him...anyway, we saw him at mainstreet playing musical chairs and posing for pictures before and afterward. That was at about 11am.

Hey, My son's Birthday is June 25th and we will be there to celebrate his 5th birthday too!!! He also loves Peter Pan and Cars. We have also seen Peter Pan every trip usually in front of the Castle so you should have no trouble finding him. The Cars parade was fun and a great photo opportunity!!

FYI Children under 9 are allowed to dress up. Grown ups are not... Only for the Haloween party at DCA.

I think that it has something to do with guest's thinking you are part of Disney as you are dressed like a character. Also if you notice, the Characters are only in one place at a time. you will never see Two Belle's out and around..

Oh, that's good to know. I did not know that. Perhaps I will dress dd up as Wendy then. They will get a kick out of that.

DCA actually has published time os day to see the Cars. They come out several times of day. My son LOVES them too!

We saw Peter and Wendy in Fantasyland near Dumbo last time we went and both signed DD's autograph book.
