Carryon Are you kidding?

I don't think it ever fit well. She was explaining how she got it in there and basically she tilted it under the lip of the bin (where the door is) and then shoved it in. Well there was no wiggle room to do that on the way out. (It took up the bin top to bottom and was a good size bowl!)

Have any of you seen those candy sculptures the candy lady in Japan in World Showcase does? Well, my dd had a unicorn done last summer. It did not travel well. Thought we had packed it quite wonderfully. Even bought a huge coffee mug to put it in so it wouldn't get banged. It shattered. So....in Nov dd is lucky enough to get another candy done..a nice monkey. She was really worried about it's getting home okay to show everyone. Well, she had one of those 'made to order' dolls done in Germany. ( she earned the money for it!!). So, when we packed to go home, we wrapped that stupid candy monkey up in a facecloth..yes, a BWV one....put it carefully in the doll's box beside said doll. I then got a huge oversized plastic bag from one of the resort gift shops, put the doll/box in it. That was my carry-on!!! My dh put it ever so gently up in the overhead bin. You should have seen his face when some guy came down the aisle, looking in all the bins for more space for his oversized bags. This was the only time I have ever seen my dh offer help to someone trying to get their bags into the bins. And he got it down for the guy when we arrived in Boston. The monkey arrived in one piece, thank heaven. But, that was our only carry-on for that trip!!!!
