Carrying on wizard-wands?

Getting ready to pack up to go home (wah), and we're wondering if the wands bought at Universal can go into carry-on bags.

One would think it's fine, because even though they don't allow realistic replicas of weapons, there's no such thing as a dangerous/in-use HP wand...but then again, there's no such thing as a Stormtrooper blaster, and they certainly don't want THOSE on the plane...and a shiny plastic sword certainly isn't *realistic*, but they don't want those, either. So I'm not going by logic here....

So? What do you guys know about this? Wands to be carried on, or going in the belly of the plane?

Thanks!

I would check them. In today's time I wouldn't take the chance on having to dispose of them. Gosh could you imagine your children's faces if they had to turn them over??? UGH, nope it is safer to just check them and be sure the kids can have them for home.

I brought one home in my carry on in September. It was still in the box and didn't receive even a second glance by TSA. Nothing was said about it.:confused3

we brought them home last year. Bought them in the airport shop and carried on 6 of them. No issues at all.

Thanks for the responses. :) Alas I didn't get them before we packed up and left everything with Bell Services, but we did end up checking them. And they made it just fine; whew. As did our Butterbeer souvenir plastic glasses and my Epcot beer stein (Stacey's "pretzel, and beer!" bit got to me, I had to buy one). :)

Amazingly, MCO TSA was an absolute breeze! Actually, too much so, as I forgot to take out my 311 baggie and they didn't mention it. I'm sure the wands would have been fine...
