Carry-on Question

I have a clear bottle with a sticker on it that says, "dispenser 3 oz; ideal size for airport carry-on." Can I use this bottle to put sunscreen (shampoo, or whatever) in or do I need to purchase 3 oz bottles of the product. This sure seems the cheaper way to do it, but I'm not sure if it's ok to put products in this or not. (I know it says on the bottle it's ok, but you know how those things can go ) Thanks!

I have heard that generic bottles work sometimes, but some folks have had these confiscated because the product was not in its original packaging.

Personally, I would try to find travel sizes of your products or buy the $1.00 travel size of ANOTHER product, empty it, clean it, and pour your product in that bottle. I wouldn't risk the generic bottles being confiscated.

in a recent thread here some people have reported issues with some TSA agents who fail to see the logic in this, so you may be best served by buying a 3 oz or less container of anything with a brand name, emptying and washing it out and filling that up instead.

Our Target has a great selection of travel size stuff. I bought a couple of extras to empty, clean out and put other stuff in.

Thanks! I have one bottle of Mickey shampoo & one Mickey conditioner left from my last trip. Guess I can use those at home & refill them with whatever I need. Thank you!
