Carry on Q - Disney pins

my boys have pins to take with them - can they take them in their carry on or do they have to check them with all this new security? Anyone know??

I just flew yesterday with my Disney pins on my baggalini with no problem.

Everytime flying out of Toronto Pearson International Airport, I have had my pins checked when going threw security & that was it. So there is no need to check them, just allow yourself extra time going threw because 99.9% they will be looked at. In fact last couple of times I flew with them, the security screeners have said a lot of nice compliments about my pin collection.
