I have bought the carry on luggage w/ wheels from Disney that says Disney World on the side of it w/ mickey mouse a few years back.

It lasted pratically the trip back before getting holes on one end of it (the side w/ the wheels). Then it took 1 year for the zippers to not function properly any more. :( .

I just saw a flyer for The Christmas Tree Shop and it is selling bags similar to the disney one. I am thinking bout replacing the WDW with one from that store but i'm not sure of the quality.

anyway, if you have bought the bag for $15.00 after spending the necessary $$ to get it, is yours in good condition?

My mom bought her bag last year @ disney world. We opened it up in the room and the straps were all ripped and stuff so we exchanged it right then.
But i thought mine would last a few months/year w/o holes. Argh.

Where these the ones they sold as a "bonus deal", meaning spend $x and get the bags for $y?

If a suitcase is an added bonus buy type thing and only $15, I wouldn't expect it to last very long.
I'd check out Marshalls/TJ Maxx type stores for a deal on a better piece of luggage.

the bags that are the bonus ones are really for overnights (like to grandmas), not really plane luggage, they are way too thin and not made for that..IMHO

I bought the actual disney luggage, embroidered one at POR a few years back....I bought so much stuff one trip we could not fit it even though I also shipped a box home...did LOTS of Xmas shopping that year:lovestruc Such fun!
.
Anyhow, it has held up beautifully and I use it each disney trip, I LOVE that bag, and only I use it :rotfl2:
It was pricey, but the quality and the "look" are Very Disney to me and worth it!

I have the bonus bag from two years ago, it's been back to Disney with me four or five times but I use it as a carry on. I haven't had any problems with it.

Were they the rolling duffles? If so, my suffered the same fate as yours. In my experience, you get what you pay for. If you are paying cheap $$, it is probably going to be cheap. Good luggage is on my Christmas list this year. I am sick of replacing the cheap luggage every 2 years because it breaks.

We bought 2 sets of this luggage. It's red with a small MM silhouette and says "Walt Disney World, 1978" on the front. It came with the rolling suitcase and a small bag. The boys have used the sets several times and ours are holding up well. I sewed a strap on the back of the smaller bag so it can be attached to the rolling luggage (strap slides over the extendable handle) which has helped in getting through the airports. I wouldn't expect it would hold up if we checked it, but for "cheap" carry on luggage, it's been fine.
