Carry-on bags?

DH has a C-Pap, which we know does not count towards a carry-on bag, as it is medical equipment. He will also be bringing our carry-on suitcase.

My question :

I am carrying on a duffel bag - smaller size. But I also would like to carry on a larger than purse size bag. Is the airline (Alaska Airlines) going to allow that? Or are they super picky about the size of your "personal bag" as opposed to your carry-on bag?

This is the first time we are attempting to go without checking luggage (at least on the outbound flight) and I want to make sure we will be okay.

The "personal bag" I am hoping to take is 12L" x 4"W x 14"H. It does look a bit more like a bag than a purse :

Thanks, in advance! (I plan on bringing home food items too, so chances are that our carry-on suitcase will need to be checked.)

If it will fit under the seat in front of you, it should be fine. My wife regularly takes a tote size Vera Bradley bag as her personal item on AirTran. Can't speak for Alaskan though.

I also always bring a larger carryon and a vera tote as well which is pretty big, and have never had any issues. Just don't act suspicious! :)

Any medical items aren't supposed to count towards your carry on or your luggage. Check with your carrier's website.

I always take a small roller bag plus a tote bag. As long as one can fit overhead and one under the seat in front of you, you sould be fine.

Perfect!! Thank you all so much!

This is a last minute trip, confirmed Friday for Tuesday (not to Disney - that is in March - but to Vegas as a getaway for DH and I), so everything is being thrown together super quickly.

We are trying to do it without checking our bags, as it is just a quick 2-nighter.

Again, thank you!!
