Arrived at Disney Aug 2. for one night at ASMo before checking into the Swan. We are checking in and the CM gets on the phone to let someone know we have arrived. She gets off the phone and tells us the resort is full and we are being upgraded to the Caribbean Beach Resort. Sounds good to us. But I was really looking forward to seeing all the giant icons and taking pictures. Oh well we can come back one day and do that.
We arrive at Caribbean Beach, it's raining
and it is 8:00 pm.
Go to our room we are in the Barbados (sp) section. first floor.
Let me tell you all, this is one heck of a nice resort very beautiful grounds landscaping is absolutely georgeous I could go on and on, but I'll tell you about our room.
It was just as lovely. Very colorful clean as could be. The bathroom is set up nice, 2 sinks outside the bathroom, alot of room in that area, I think a curtain you could pull to seperate the main area from the vanity area. Loved the shower curtain very colorful and little mickey heads on it I really did want to take it with me but, I know they would of missed it!
Opened our door to a lovely little courtyard
it had the nice benches and chairs ,very pretty very cozy to sit and relax or to read a good book.
Went exploring that night around 10 pm saw a raccoon get into a garbage can you know the kind that are metal and have the swinging flap to push. Well he made his way into it no problem, thought for sure he was stuck. (no way) he knew how to get out just fine. Just glad I didn't have anything to throw away not knowing he was in there.
Kids wanted to swim, so we went to the quiet pool around 10:30, there were alot of people swimming at that time of night. And it was not a quiet pool that night.
We had a wonderful one night stay there, and would stay there again in a minute. So anyone having second thoughts on this place don't you will love it. I only wish we could of stayed a few more nights.
Only one thing I was not too impressed with was the main pool. For some reason I thought it would of been alot bigger. We did not swim in it, just looked around it. I'm sure it was the main pool it was right by the food court. Someone let me know if this was not it.
