We are in the early stages of planning our 3rd trip to WDW with our kids. The last two times we have gone with the kids we have gone with my in laws but this time it will be just us. In the past we have stayed at SSR and POR. What are things you love or don't love about CB? The kids will be 7 & 8 when we go. Thanks!

We loved the pirate rooms!! People complain they are so far from the pool and the food court butbi didn't think so. I have RA and have trouble walking most days, and the walk didn't phase me. The whole resort is beautiful

People also complain about the buses there. We always get a car so I can't comment on the bus situation.

I'm staying at CBR for the first time October 18-22. I was supposed to stay there a year ago and through the Magic of WDW, I got an email -- "we can upgrade your trip to the Grand Floridian for only $470 more for the 5 night trip you have booked." Um, please and thank you, YES! It turned out that due to the construction issues of the VGF and the closing of the big pool, they were trying to fill the hotel and we got lucky. I didn't even tell my 14 year old niece that we changed hotels, until we were on the "wrong" magical express bus.

"Uncle Tommy, you've now ruined me for ever staying at a moderate again, I love the monorail!" Who new that Hurricane Sandy would strand us at the Grand Floridian for an extra 4 days -- it was tough but we got through it.

This time I've booked a king room in either Jamaica or Aruba, I can't wait! I will update what I liked and didn't like, I've stayed at all the other moderates and really like POR, but to be fair I needed to try CBR before I can say which is my absolute favorite moderate.

I loved the theme, little beach alcoves and the smaller pools to access when the big pool was crowded. I HATED the walking though and it outweighed the positives for me. Bus stops were so far from our room and it seemed like we had to walk a mile to get to the food court. I would definitely suggest upgrading to preferred room so you can be closer to food/drinks and busses.

CBR is our favorite moderate. We love the relaxed laid back atmosphere as it is such a nice change from the craziness of the parks. Some don't like the size of the resort but for us that is one of the positives. We have been here when they were at capacity and it never felt like it. The grounds are beautiful and we love walking around the lake as the sun comes up every morning. The food court is great and the main pool is our DS's favorite. Every village has it's quite pool and it's own bus stop so you are never far from one. One of our favorite things to do is grab a drink from the Banana Cabana, hit the beach and watch the higher fireworks from Illuminations.:thumbsup2
