Okay, I just booked with Caribbean Beach (CBR), but I've read some bad things on this board so I called Disney back and was told I could change it to the CSR (Coronado Springs Resorts) or POR (Port Orleans Riverside) within 15 days. Which one would you all choose and why?

If you have stayed at any of these resorts which section/room is better in regards to getting around with transportation or food courts, etc. Pools aren't that important!!!!

Thanks in advance for you response!!!!!:earseek:

I found the transportation at CSR to be fantastic. The buses were rarely crowded as this is a convention hotel so guests are not necessarily using park transport all the time. There are also only 4 bus stops at CSR compared to CBR which has more.

I've stayed at CBR 5 times and CSR twice and POR once. I found the food courts busier at CBR and POR. The CSR Pepper Market food court is a bit different in that you can pick and choose menu items from different food stations. You are also seated and have someone get you drinks if necessary. There is a 10 percent gratuity for this service. (You can read more about it here ) I really enjoy the Pepper Market.

I did go back to visit CBR on my last trip to check out the resort and the new food court and my preference is still for Coronado Springs. I guess I just like the atmosphere more-especially the recreational areas. There is also a health club and salon if you desire those ammenities.
I would choose Casitas 1, Cabanas 9B or 8A for proximity to bus stops at CSR.

I am a CSR fan as well. But I haven't stayed at any of the other moderates, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. CSR compares well with the deluxes I have stayed at though. Splurge and get a waterview. I think it's worth the extra $ at this resort.

We have stayed at all the resorts. We prefer CB because of the feeling of being away from it all. The PO is also very nice. We would give the CB the edge because of the food court. As far as the CS, this is a business mans hotel. They seem to always have a convention going on. Very cold, mandatory tips on your bill, even at the food court. So for what it is worth, Keep your reservations at the CB. Have a wonderful time.:wave2:

:D

I would choose the POR just because I haven't stayed there, yet. The other two resorts are great, especially the CSR (there's a lot to do there, plus the pool area is awesome). I loved the CBR, too, so I don't think you can go wrong with any of the resorts. Wherever you decide to stay, have a great time!

Just returned from POR and would highly recommend it! There was never much of a line at the food court and there was a perfectly nice and uncrowded restaurant there too. I"ve heard that the prices for food are a bit higher at the Coronodo Springs because it caters to a convention crowd.

The bus service was a bit unreliable. The first day we had no problem getting on the first bus to the MK, which was only a 10 minute drive, but the next couple of days we did have some problems. Eventually, we ended up using our car more often than not. I've heard from my cousin that the transportaion at the Carribean was a NIGHTMARE because there was the internal bus, plus the bus to the resorts and that they spent way too much time on the bus. Don't have any personal experience, though

I don't think you can go wrong at any of the resorts. Enjoy your trip!

We have stayed a CBR and CSR and would suggest CBR. We like the theming (sp?) of CBR over CSR but what really would make us choose CBR over CSR is the food court.

We have two young kids (5 and 2) and the CSR food court is not kids friendly (plus the 10% service charge gets old real fast). As someone posted, CSR is for the business man (woman).

I have stayed at all 3 of the resorts and I would first stay at CBR again, then CSR and I would never stay at POR again. I liked CBR for the feeling of being on the islands, found it convenient and service was excellent. CSR was great and LOVED the pool. Just had a few too many issues on our stay at POR so wouldn't go back there. I would recomend CBR to any one!

Another vote for POR.

I noticed you said you could change in the next 15 days and yet your countdown is at 140+?! FYI-You can change your resort ANYTIME. WDW will just transfer your deposit amount to a new ressie.

Enjoy your planning........:)
