I'm looking for ideas on a beach vacation for early March. It will be me and my dh and dd20 and dd15. I would like an all inclusive. Has anyone been to an island that they loved? I'm not interested in going to Bermuda, Bahamas, St. Kitts, St. Martin or Aruba. We've already been there and I would like to go somewhere different. I'm thinking of taking a break from Disney this year.

thank you.

I've heard great things about the Secrets resorts. Have you considered Punta Cana? How about Puerto Rico? The El conquistador was beautiful.

Not all-inclusive, but I loved Terre-de-Haut, Iles des Saintes, Guadeloupe and Dominica.

If money isn't an issue, I would go back to Beaches, Turks and Caicos in a heartbeat :)

We adore Cozumel, but if you aren't a diver, it might not be as good. The beaches of Playa del Carmen/Cancun are better- but it isn't an island.

We also really love Antigua.

Another vote for Beaches Turks and Caicos. We spent 8 days there this past June and are already planning our next trip back. It was the best vacation we've been on as a family.

thanks, but I think beaches is a little more than I want to spend. I just took three vacations in the last six months so I would like to find an all inclusive that isn't crazy. A friend of mine went last year and she said that she spent $13,000 for four of them to go to Beaches.

We like the Iberostar resorts. We've stayed in several in both Mexico and Punta Cana and have never been disappointed.

If the beach and an all inclusive and island is what you are looking for, suggestions above would be better than this. But I couldn't resist mentioning my favorite tropical destination, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. This is such a fun, safe, easy place to explore with so much great food in all price ranges to die for, that I think it's a waste to do all inclusive there, but lots of people do as that has gotten so popular. It's definitely a popular option too. It's such a beautiful historic charming city right on the Bay on Banderas. What I like is that it's not just Americans and Canadians that vacation there, but lots of Mexican families too. It gives the place more of an international feel -- you feel like you are out of the US. And the people are just so friendly. The beach is nice, but not as impressive as the Caribbean or Cancun. If you are looking to do diving / snorkeling the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean are better for that.

We love Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and try to go every 2 years. We love the Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana and the Riu Bavaro. Punta Cana has the best beaches we have ever been to. We also love the all inclusuve Riu Paradise Island resort in Paradise Island, Bahamas

Locally we have had an airport affiliation with charters to Bahamas and Caribbean, all inclusive for great prices. Did you consider cruising? If you don't need airfare its a great cost efficient relaxing enjoyable vacation. Right now there are tons of 2016 specials.

Stayed at the Hilton Barbados last January and loved the resort and especially the beach. It wasn't all inclusive, and for my wife and I ,it's just not worth it,but we had access to the executive lounge where we had free breakfast everyday and access to to snacks and drinks all day.

I was in Barbados last January and it was NICE ! I'd love to take my family there now after visiting for work. The entire west side is resorts of different prices/quality but major vacation area.

Punta Cana in the Domninican Republic. My favorite beach, hands down. The winds made it so cool, I fell asleep for the first time on a beach. LOL! Or Antigua.

I would get an actual quote rather than relying on what friends say. We spent less than that for five people in an upgraded suite for 8 days this past June. You hear so many things about what Beaches costs, but most people are quoting sticker price, not the discounted price. The normal discount for Beaches is 65%.
