I noticed that a lot of you are going on cruises during the summertime. Isn't it extremely hot and humid during those months? I have heard people complaining about the unbearable heat at WDW during the summertime. Is there great island breezes to make it bearable or what is your secret?

Yes, it is hot and it is the time our children are out of school so we cruise in the summer. We have cruised 3 times in August and once in March on Disney. When the ship is underway you don't really notice the heat because it is always windy then. In port it will be hot but we experienced rainfall every day that cooled us off. It was exactly like being in the Colorado Rockies and getting the afternoon rain shower. Remember this was August for us. Other cruisers can write about May, June, July. Kathy

Yes, it is hot and humid. Even while at sea. We had our verandah door open much less than we expected because our room would get so humid so quickly.

Yes it's extremely hot in late spring and summer. We went in May one year to celebrate our anniversary and it was stiffling. Unless you really enjoy the heat (or have no other choice), go a different time of the year because it can be brutal. The ships are cooler because of the air conditioning and we found ourselves staying mostly on board. Luckily, we only went on a 3 day cruise and had seen Nassau before so it wasn't a total loss. We've since only gone in the fall and early spring. We're fortunate in that both our children are married and we're retired so we have that option. I would not go again when it's that hot.

I went two years ago on an early june cruise, and maybe its b/c im used to TX heat, but i thought the weather was fine. Hot? yes, but not unbearable.

It sprinkled both on our Nassua day and CC day which did kinda cool it off, but i believe made it even more humid... another thing that i am also used to as a Houstonian...

I was wondering, however, how the weather is different on the western cruise?? Also, does it rain as much??
