Has anyone taken a carriage ride tour in Freeport? We have planned some activities for Nassau but nothing that was offered in Freeport looked appealing to us. What we would like to do is to take a tour to get some of the flavor of Freeport. There are five of us (3 adults and 2 children). I was thinking of a horse and carriage tour if any were available near where the ship docks. The kids are always wanting to take this type of tour in the US cities we visit and I'm always saying that it's too expensive. I wouldn't mind splurging some on this vacation though.

Bump.....

Okay, I have never been to Freeport, but since our itenerary was changed to include Freeport, I have been reading up on the boards here.

From what I understand, The ship docks at an area that is just docks, maybe industrial type docks too??? To actually get to the town of Freeport requires a taxi ride there, and back, for your party. I do not know if there are carriage rides around Freeport once you get there or not??? If so, I imagine that it might be a nicer carriage ride than the one I have heard about through the busy streets of Nassau?

C'mon, I know that some other of you folks have gotten off the ship at Freeport. I am possibly interested in the short snorkeling excursion, just to get off the ship and out on the water for a bit..... Anybody done this????

Thanks!

We did the Carriage rides in Nassau and it really stunk, I would never waste the money on it again...I was afraid we would either be hit by a car or tip over!! In Freeport we did the Lucayan Beach day and it was wonderful!
