Carousel of Progress

Does anyone know if the Carousel of Progress will be open this December?
It is my favorite and too often it is closed. Arriving Friday!!!!

We just returned Saturday night from WDW.
The CoP was open all last week!!!

We just got home today and as of yesterday CoP was open and running each day, so was Timekeeper. However, this could be due to the fact that the crowds were very large over Thanksgiving weekend. Hope it is running for your trip.....

If they close "The Carousel of Progress"; I doubt if I'll return to WDW. It's my favorite attraction. I saw it on opening day at the NY World's Fair and fell in love with since then. They already ruined it a little by changing the original words as well as the theme song. They even changed the voice of the narrator, singing cowboy Rex Allen. They ended the "Electrical Parade", "The World of Motion" as well as "Horizons" to be replaced by non-educational thrill rides which elderly people cannot ride. All the nostalgic attractions will be shut; only thrill rides will remain. Who knows what is being done to "Small World"? It'll probably turned into a coaster!

I was also checking for COP being open in February when we go (all it says is open seasonally), if anyone is done now or in the near future Id like to know if it is open this month?

We were on CoP in December and it broke down twice during the show. DD5 was freaked out when the narrator was talking and the back of his neck was splitting open, revealing his "innards".

We were there 1/17 - 1/20 "the slow time?" and it was open.
