Seems like when someone screws it up by standing or leaving the first time the CM should advise that if anyone else can't remain seated or needs to leave this is your chance to exit. I love COP but I prefer each scene in the correct sequence just once.
COP was the very first thing my family ever did together at Disney world many years ago so it holds a special
memory for all of us. I'm so glad this behavior did not happen to us as it would have created a very different
feeling for the ride. I wish people would not be so selfish.
Wow, that would be seriously annoying!
We went on COP our first trip on 2010. I was not a fan, but DH was looking forward to going on it again on our 2nd trip last year. He forgot about it and I didn't remind him!
So this happened to us last weekend, we saw the I believe two scenes twice, but the announcement was made that this scene would replay in 3 mins, in 2 mins, in 1 min, this scene will now repeat.
So what I don't understand is if this ride has stopped and needs to repeat a scene, why can't there be a reset button thats pushed that kills all scenes and puts the animatronics back at square 1 and rewinds the side stages. Why have to warn us in 3, 2, 1 minutes just reset now! I'd be more happy with that then being stuck for 3 minutes

Really I tend to be forgiving sens I was not given the ball that tells me if when someone leaves if it's out of boredom of if they are in the middle of a emergency

Well, yeah, in an actual emergency you can leave but if you're just bored you stick it out, take a nap, whatever. My son is incredibly bored during It's a Small World but he sits through it to humor me. With announcements at the beginning saying you can't leave it's rude and selfish to get up and leave.

I reckon some folks would take that announcement as a personal insult or challenge and use it as an excuse to walk out.
But, supposing that the departing ones are not genuinely rude and selfish, but merely clueless, it does seem that some additional warning is warranted. I'm just not sure what wording or method would work best. I'm so glad I'm not in charge of solving the walk out problem!
