I read a recent review for Tropicana that mentioned demolition next door. Is Carousel finally gone? I have to wonder what will become of that land...

I remember reading that they had filed/obtained Demolition Permits for that site not long ago (May), so it would make sense that they've started the demo work as soon as possible. It's a pretty narrow strip of land, so I'm not sure what can be done with it by itself. Maybe they're still hoping to do some type of modified Eastern Gateway project in that area...

I'm pretty sure Disney owns the land to the east. Maybe they will make CM parking. ;)

It's far from gone-- the entire structure is still there but demo work is definitely underway and the entrance has chain link across it. I wonder if maybe they have to strip certain materials, mostly by hand, before heavy demo work can begin on the structure. Just a guess.

We were walking across the street earlier this week and saw: A pop-up canopy from the construction site caught the wind and flipped over the chain link fence and landed on people walking North on Harbor sidewalk, including a stroller. Not good! I don't think anyone was hurt, but the construction guys were scrambling.

One thing for sure. People on Tripadvisor will be cryin the Blues cuz of demo noise.
Hey,,it happens.

Like PP said, it's still there. I also wonder what will go there. Not much to work with really.

Wouldn’t it be fantastic if they could build a ride that travels over Harbor and into a show building in the Carousel lot? Somehow I don’t think Anaheim would allow that though.
