Callum (my DS just 10) loves Disney completely, wants a light sabre more than anything else
Reg Patterson (71) never been on a plane, has been gobsmacked by the idea he’s going to WDW since booking

Friday 11 november 2005
Because half of the party (the Foys) have been before I decided we should try and do something each day that we’ve never done to make it a more exciting trip for us all. Either ride a ride, eat a meal see a show or something else new. That way we’ll have a lot of new experiences and seeing it all over again through the Pattersons eyes will make it all seem so much more magical.
Have been counting since 235 days (discovered the Dis in march this year) so can’t believe we’re nearly there! Have learned so much from all you wonderful DISsers – thank you!!!
Well, what a slow day, dropped Callum at school at 08:45 and then took Matisse my DDC (dear disney cat) to the Cat Tree (the name my son gave it when he was three and was disappointed when we turned up at the cattery to find minimal trees!) which only followed after a three hour chase around the house wearing long thick gardening gloves trying to persuade her that the cat box was a great place to be in. Approached the Cattery with trepidation, not because I don’t want to leave her but because I’m always reminded when I get there about the time I came back from holiday to ask where Barbara was (the cattery owner) and to be told she was in intensive care as MY cat had slit her main artery in her wrist as she mistook Barbaras attempts to straighten her electric blanket as a personal attack!
Any way I digress, that was a couple of years ago and they have welcomed her back into the fold – probably due to the amazing amounts of dosh I lob their way. Right so that was done, now to head to work for the longest day known to man and spend all day talking to clients about my trip to disney. At least when you work in a travel agents it does give you an excuse to chat about your hols all day but after about the fifth person that came in asking for a train ticket got the answer ‘…. Are you heading for gatwick ‘cos I’m there tomorrow, I’m off to Disney you know’ I realised I was going on a bit, so what to do all day????????? Why the DIS of course, if theres one set of mad people who will understand me completely I know where to find them!
Will 5:30 ever get here? I doubt it so the rest of my day SHOULD go… 5:30 leave work skipping down the street singing zip a dee doo dah at the top of my voice, 6:00pm get home, finish the cleaning , ie bleach the loos (I know, anal isn’t it?) chuck the cases in the car, check the locks etc, get takeaway, head for mums, quick excited call to Ruth and Reg, and CHIIIILLLLL!!! (ain’t gonna happen!)
Have to wake by 3;00 am for long journey to LGW
Will post when I arrive back but don’t want to think about that yet!
