Carnival port distance to Disney port

Let me give a little setup before I pose my question.

In January my fiance's family and my family will be joining us on a Carnival Cruise that leaves the 8th of January and returns on the 15th of January (this is our wedding cruise).

On January 15th we will disembark the Carnival ship and embark on the Magic. How close are the two ports? Is it within walking distance between the ports? I have this mental image of my then-husband and I just hopping off the Carnival ship with our luggage and walking a few feet and hopping onto the Magic.

Yesss... I do realize that I am being a bit dilusional. Does anyone know?

The Canival ships in port Canaveral are right next to the Disney terminal. They are so close, you could swim, but all those bags might be a little heavy, so you'd better walk. Look on Dave's DCL tribute site. www.dcltribute.com

It is within walking distance, depending upon luggage burden. I would estimate about 1/2 mile or less, door to door along the road (you have to go around the NW end of the turning basin). I don't remember if a sidewalk runs the entire distance or not.

Yes, you could easily walk it, but I wouldn't want to carry luggage between one and the other. I'd either handsomely tip or porter or hire a taxi.

The pic below shows how close the Carnival ship is to the DCL terminal...but it is deceiving.....there is a lot of walking to get to the Carnival terminal......

Hey! That's a good idea! Instead of going through all the lines getting off the Glory I will just jump off of my verandah and swim right over to the Magic! LOL Thanks for the pics... I have a better idea now.

GenieDana - Your links were very helpful. I really like the terraserver link. That's pretty cool... hmmmm I might have to play around with that for a bit...

Since most of my luggage is on wheels I think it wont be much of a problem to walk it all over to the Magic, I just hope my sea legs arent too wobbly!
