Carnival Indicating August for Phase In

First time Ive seen anyone on a DCL look at Carnival as the leader of the industry :duck:this is like the pigs fly or heck freezing over moment (just adding levity no snark)

I have no idea where I said anything about who was the leader of the industry. And if it was taken that way, I meant nothing negative towards DCL. I enjoy both cruise lines very much, which is why I like this board! Nothing wrong with that. But I don’t want to be argumentative or off-topic to respect the mods so I think I’ll take my leave of this particular thread. Hope there are many happy sailings in everyone’s future!

Well, looks like they are going to make some money back with 2022 pricing. Just looked at NCL’s 2022 summer cruises and they opened REALLY high. Yikes. The 7 nights are the same pp as their 10 nighters. *sigh*. Also, learned that I guess they’ll be rolling out “cruising well” or something but will NOT be requiring passengers to wear mask when they do roll.

I would consider Carnival, Royal and NCL to be the leaders in the cruise industry. Certainly not Disney due to it's size. I see nothing wrong with a cruise line wanting to start cruises again in August. If you don't want to cruise don't cruise.

I'm sure Carnival's not the only one looking at August as a possible start date. Hopefully NCL can find the financing it needs to stay a float. Disney will be fine financially. They could cut their prices in half and they will still cost more than the other three.
