Having lived in Canada we have been always able to go to Cuba and to be honest it's most Canadians least favorite Caribbean destination. Mind you, I love Havana. That's about the only place I would want to visit in Cuba. Totally understand how it's new to the US residents though.
I'm a Cruise specialist in Canada along with selling other travel and when folks come in for a land vacation 90% of them say anywhere but Cuba lol. It's funny to see the interest now though I do understand the novelty.
That said, Havana is definitely the best choice!
Someone stayed in 8044 and talked about the midship detective agency game causing some noise?? You might be down far enough to not have that issue
Ha! I've lived in Orlando my whole life and I feel the same way about Disney. Basically, my vacationing philosophy is anywhere but Disney (although it's fun to stop by for a day when out-of-towners are visiting). You're so right that Cuba is just something we've never been able to do before. But it would be fun to try at least once! And maybe have some Cuban food and see Havana.
I have a Canadian friend who loves going to Cuba because it hasn't been "Americanized". I could see the novelty in going someplace that doesn't have the American influence we see in so many of the resort cities throughout the Caribbean and Mexico.Cuba is already changing... We went last year and it was a huge change from say 5 -10 years ago. It will have a Senor Frog or something equivalent in no time. The Cuban people are hungry for these changes.
