On the disneyland website it states "Table Service for Breakfast and Lunch" in regards to Carnation Cafe. What about dinner?

Also, assuming Celbrate! A Street Party is parade-ish and I just want something to enterain my kids while DH and I get to eat, would the kids be able to see from our table or will there be too many people on the sideewalk in the way?

Yes, they serve dinner too, unless things have changed since December when I was last there. In fact, you can even go there just for dessert (YUM! Matterhorn sundae and apple pie a la mode with whipped cream and strawberries!). The dinner menu is pretty much the same thing as the lunch menu. There are not a whole lot of choices but the food is good.

We have usually been seated way in the back of the restaurant (make sure to make a PS - seating is very limited and the line to be seated gets long) when the parades were going by, so between that and the fact that tons of people were standing in our way, we saw only glimpses of characters' arms here and there in the parade. But if you happen to be sitting at a table right along Main Street, you may see more. You will still have lots of people standing in front of you, but if the crowds part you will have a good view of the parade! In October we requested a Main Street table - it was too early for a parade, but we wanted to people watch. That was a great place to sit, and yes, we had to wait a little longer to sit there, but you can't beat being able to watch all the people passing by on Main Street. You can put in a request for it when you make the PS and then also mention it when you go up to Carnation to give your name.

I ate dinner there two weeks ago. It's one of my favorite places to eat in the entire DLR.

This is gonna be a priority food stop come may ...
and yes totally agree the food here is good :)

I'm anxious to try the baked potatoe soup that I've read lots about!!!:woohoo: I'm just not sure if we should go for lunch or supper now???

The Baked Potaoe Soup is soooooo good. Its the best i've ever had & found. I am going there today & we have reservations there already. Love the soup & the latte's. Oh I cant wait!

So they do serve dinner and it is sit down/table service. Great.
Not sure why they only mention breakfast and lunch on the website.
I think I will call and make PS for our first night

Loaded Baked Potato soup is what my mom and i are going to have on thursday afternoon! It's super yummy.. and a nice little place to eat on mainstreet.:goodvibes

Baked Potato soup sounds really good. They have one at Outback Steakhouse I really like. However, we are going at the end of June and I think I may not want something hot at that time. :sad2:

We haven't been to DLR since Oct 2007 but back then, during the off season, I believe they stopped their meal service after lunch on weekdays. Maybe things have changed but just wanted to mention in case they haven't.

hot soup during a hot day in anaheim would reduce me to a puddle on the floor :teacher:

Also when it rains the CC closes down completely. I do love the Loaded Baked Potato Soup tho, it's the BEST I've ever had.....I really want some right now. :)
