Can anyone tell me what time the menu changes from breakfast to lunch at Carnation Cafe? I want to get a ps for the earliest lunch time available.

Thanks!

DangerMouse, I don't know the exact time, but we ate a late breakfast there (following an excellent EE FL morning). I want to think we sat down after 10am. When we left (again I'm guessing at around 11am)....There was a line of 10-15 people in the rope line (even though there were mostly empty tables).

I overheard the rope girl telling walk-ups, that the people in line were waiting for the Lunch Seating. (which wouldn't start until us waffle & omellete eating guests had waddled out of there).

:cool2:

I'm so glad someone asked this because we are going to make our PS reservation for 11:30 too, then back to the hotel for naps. Perfect timing:thumbsup2

hubby had the baked potato soup and LOVED it.

i had a chicken club sandwhich, so yummy.

one of our favorite lunches on our trip last week

I usually make our PS for 11:30, but like was already said, they don't seat the lunch crowd until the breakfast crowd is gone. The last time I went, we had to wait around 20-25 minutes before they started seating us. I would make my PS for a little later so I wouldn't have to wait quite so long to be seated. And I love the baked potato soup there. Chef Oscar likes to come around to the tables to greet people, and he tried to convince me to try a different type of soup, but I love the baked potato soup so much, he couldn't change my mind.:thumbsup2

How is the food? We've never eaten there but I've always wanted to.
I can only speak for breakfast (which we love to eat on vacation) & we normally eat late morning after touring & collecting FPs for a couple of hours.

- Eggs Benedict (wife says they're the best)
- mickey waffles (DS says they're the best)
- Other breakfasts are great too....I've had standard combo breakfast plates &
- a granola parfait thingy that is perfect for me since i usually graze off wife & DS's plate :)

It's like a nice hotel breakfast. :thumbsup2

I'll let others comment on lunch (which i'm sure is great too).

We ate there for lunch last trip and really loved it! I have two PSes for our trip there next week. :thumbsup2

I had a yummy chicken-bacon croissant, very fresh. DH really enjoyed his turkey club sandwich, too. My DS6 had a hotdog kid's meal that came with cute smiley-face french fries. Those were a big hit! And DS2 wanted mac & cheese, which he enjoyed. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
