Carnation Cafe and Oscar

He even goes to the Carnation Cafe on his off-days. My then-roommate and I had lunch at the Carnation Cafe last spring and there was an older man who was obviously being doted on by the wait staff. Well, I asked for the recipe for the baked potato soup and before the waitress brought it to me, she brought it over to the old man, who then got up and came over to talk to be and my roommate. Lo and behold, he was Oscar. Nice guy and gave me some tips on making the soup so that it would come as close to the Carnation Cafe version as humanly possible.

Oscar is a real sweetheart. He posed for pictures on my sister's birthday in '06 and then I saw him recently in September, receiving a hug and a kiss. Such a sweet guy, one of the best at DL!
