Carlos & Charlie's?

Not remembering most of it :)

In reality though,

Its truly just a loud bar with good food really close to the ship (which helps a LOT). Of course, the best part was hanging out and getting sloshed with new friends from Cruisetoberfest. The prices aren't ridiculous at all either.

We had a really enjoyable time at C&C, but it is just a bar/food joint with good food. Don't expect fine dining. We were there a few times on our DCL cruises and this past January we had an unexpected extra night in Cozumel due to high winds preventing us from docking in Grand Cayman Harbor. We headed to Cozumel early. Well, the crew onboard the Magic was delighted that most of them had an unexpected night off. I would say about 80% of the crew that was allowed off the ship was at C&C that night. We had a ball. It was something to see all the crew we knew in uniform onboard to be in their "civilian" clothes in C&C. Needless to say we did not get back to ship until 4:00 am!!!

Warning...do not bring little kids or teens under 16 after 7:00 pm or so. It can get very rowdy and a bit crude at times.

I love Carlos and Charlies. It is just a fun place to let down your hair and have a good time. Though on my May cruise, I embrassed my 19 yr old DS when I was dancing on the table.

Really it is not made for small children at any time of the day. In the middle of the day when the cruise ships are all docked it is just as wild as at night time.

Jeff--- At least I remember leavind C & C this trip.

I remember leaving and walking back to the ship. I don't remember much of right before we left other then me basically saying if we don't leave here soon we won't be leaving period. I made the mistake of lying down when we got back to the hotel room and spend a couple of hours recovering. Was fine later that evening though. I even remember Shari and I stumbling down Punta Langosta with my stack of shot glasses.

Nothing beats the couple missing their boat though. That was the best part of the night ;)

I might be the only one, but I loved the shot girl. Whatever her brew was, it was excellent. Charlie's Special, it's a drink, was also incredible, very smooth. It's just a lot of fun.

We went to C&C's as a crew member's suggestion and...........................................we really had a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I highly suggest that you check this place out if you enjoy good times....it definitely factored into our rebooking for a DCL cruise for summer '04!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that was you and me and the other Jeff, wasn't it??? I thought the two of you were keeping me walking straight . . . until later when I made it to dinner (as did Jen!), but you didn't :p . Okay, so I only managed to eat a bit of fruit cocktail and some bread (when I wasn't dropping it!), but I was there, and took the stairs getting there. ;) And later I even made it to the deck party and to karaoke! Funny thing about lying down before dinner - I did that briefly. I leaned back and fell over, and two chocolates fell onto my face from the eyes of the latest towel animal. That got me on my feet again!

C&C was FUN! GREAT Margaritas . . especially the Mother Margarita :teeth: . And Jen, I agree about how good the shots were.

A Shot, a shot, pesos for a shot.

There was much entertainment provided by all there :jester:

What I will do next summer...is send my younger teens on the Teen Fury Catamaran cruise, while I take my 20 year old DD to CC for some good times............hehehehehe............

We love Carlos and Charlie's...the food and service were excellent. The music is great. There is dancing. The front is open to the outside.

We made this our last stop..had dinner and enjoyed the music before getting back on the ship just in time to sail.

Enjoy!

CC is right off the ship, you can see it when you come off the dock. There were many unexpected extremely funny moments for us when we visited. It's definitely a place to let down your hair and have a blast!!

Glad you had fun in C&C. You are correct................. most of the crew were in there the night you describe......... including my daughter and boyfriend (Servers). They, too had a great time, but didnt get back to the ship until 4am............. and were at work at 5.30am! We visited C&C when we were in Cozumel - the plan was................. quick lunch, then explore town. Didnt get further than C&C's, due to "Sex on the Beach" drinks! Will have to take another cruise to see what the rest of the town was like!Have video of me standing on a chair, dancing, with feathers in my hair: Never going to live that down! Dont go there if you dont drink or like loud music - or having fun! Nat:Pinkbounc

Nat....It was so nice to see all the crew enjoying themselves. Does your DD know Beckie from Canada from the serving team? She was our server and we bought her a few drinks and met so many wonderful crew members.

I wasn't dancing on any tables but I must have sat on a chair that someone used to hop up onto a table because when I got back to the ship I noticed a perfect dirty foot print on my rear....and I do not remember being kicked!!!

Im pretty sure Gem knows her, as all CM's seem to know each other.............. all 900 or so of them, and I think we may have met her on our cruises. It's wonderful for all the crew,as they get to hear stories from all the other 51 nations represented by the CM's!We constantly have CM's visiting us here in UK - and it's an absolute joy to have them stay with us. Our daughter has also had the opportunity to visit CM's countries, including Croatia, Slovenia, India, and USA. We are awaiting Ellen(Aus) and her sister to visit us.Ellen, of course, is one of the favourite CM's - on the entertainment staff. They are all one big happy family on board..................... well, 98% of the time! Nat :Pinkbounc

Nat...we have met Ellen on a few DCL cruises....lovely girl. How nice she is going to meet with you at your home. I have often offered visits to the CM's onboard but sometimes I think they think I am joking. I would definately love to have cm's stay with us if they ever visit New York. Andrea from Austrialia, also of the cruise staff is also very nice and is helping my DD plan a trip to Austrialia for studying abroad.

What part of England are you from? I have often wanted to visit the UK, but never had the chance. My descendants are from Devonshire....my great, great, great, etc........grandfather was the from there and when we came to the US he was the first Governor of Salem, Mass. They even have a statue of him in the center of town. His name was Roger Conant. I would love to take my teens across the pond and explore our heritage!!!
