Caring for Giants - Reservation Booking Timing

I’m currently planning to surprise my DD with the Caring for Giants tour.

I’d prefer not to book the tour until closer to the day so I can choose a decent weather day. We are in WDW for 14 days and don’t have “Set in Stone” plans so I am very flexible when it comes to choosing a date/time.

My question is just how popular is this tour? Realistically how far out should I book it in order to not miss our chance to it selling out?

Our travel dates are the first two weeks of November.

We went the end of May...I booked about two weeks prior. Our tour only had five in total, though I'm not sure how big a group they would take there was definitely a lot of room on the minibus they took us on to reach tour area! There are multiple times during the day for this experience, approximately 8-10 times per day. Hope this helps!
