Who did you/are you using?

If your wedding already happened, was it worth it? Were you happy with the vendor that you selected?

Did you ever hear back from anyone? It is probably getting too late for me to change but if I could save a bit of money....

Off topic-but I just learned I can book a Rolls Royce myself and save at least $300!!

I got into contact with caricatureconnections.com - they charge $125 per hour...so for $250 they can come for 2 hours, and can do 10 per hour so it works out perfectly for us...they look decent...that's likely who I'll go with in the end/

Will Disney set up a table for them or do they bring their own? I wonder if I would have any problem with them at the Napa Room as it is not backstage? thanks

I think they bring their own folding easel thingie and you can just use the chairs that are already there...I know that others have had outside vendors for this type of stuff with no trouble at all - just ask your planner :)

I am paying $585 for 3 hours through Disney. The company you suggested would save me almost $200 (plus if I save $300 on the Rolls...). I have sent them an email.

I don't know why but I feel an obligation to go through Disney. Like I am going to offend them or something. I know it is silly and I need to start thinking about how I need the money in my pocket just as much as they do.

We did this for our Disney wedding about 8.5 years ago (Jan 2002). I have followed the Disney wedding trend from time to time and seen a lot of things change (we used Disney Cosmotology, had a dove release and our saturday minimum was $10,000!)

I figured they also didn't do Caricatures either, as I have never seen anyone do these after us. I am glad they still do. It is absolutely, positively worth EVERY SINGLE CENT! (BTW I would recommend using Disney, after all it was a company built by an artist) It was our favorite part of our reception, and we only wished we had the caricature artist longer.

Just make sure that your guests keep the caricatures away from lighted candles.... :)

Glad to hear such positive feedback on caricature artists.

We did not do this but I think it is such a great idea. We were at my friends daughters Sweet 16 and she had this and everyone loved it. I took it home and framed it and years later I still have it hanging in our kitchen. It is something eveyone can take home and enjoy. Not sure if they come with tubes for the artwork but I think it would be a great idea to get them for your guests so they can take them home and not get crumpled. You can even put a fancy sticker on the tube with your names, wedding date and maybe saying some kind of thank you to your guests for attending. Wow, now I wish we had done this :goodvibes.

we are using one in july. we just went with disney for convenience on my part- one less thing to coordinate.... I am excited about this. we have kept it a surprise from our guests.:goodvibes

We had a caricature artist. I hired him through About Faces Entertainment. I think he was a little over $400 for 3 hours. He was a huge hit and did a fantastic job, he drew a few pictures for us before the wedding so we could display them with our cake. My guests loved every minute of it.
