I've walked past it time after time after time.... but when we go in October, I'd like to actually sit and have a caricature (sp?) done of myself and dh, or maybe even a family portrait.

Has anyone done this? How was the experience? How long did it take? What did it cost?

Thanks!:thumbsup2

We had one done for our DD11 last year on her birthday. It took about 20-30 minutes and I think the cost was around $30-$35 dollars. It came out really good! Good souvenir in my opinion. :thumbsup2

Anyone know what they would charge for 4 people to be in 1 picture? I think this would be a ton of fun for our family to do.

Interested in the answer to the previous post. We are a family of five and this might be a great souvenir.

We did this for our daughter last year, I really don't remember how much it cost, sorry! But the experience was great - and worth the wait. It was about 20-25 minutes in the chair, and we got lucky as there was no one waiting so she walked right up.

Something to remember: These are chalk drawings. You don't want to handle them much. As soon as you get the drawing done, take it to your room or the locker and leave it alone. They told us not to take it out of the tube until we get home - the more you handle a chalk drawing, the more you can smudge it. Ours made it home without a problem.

Too bad there is nowhere to get them laminated at DLR. I suppose that would ultimately be the only way to protect it for any length of time (assuming you wanted to display it or put it in a scrapbook). I think it is a great idea for a unique, personalized souvenir to get a caricature done. It would be especially cool to have one done on a first date (if you know you like the person), or on an anniversary or some other romantic type of occasion.

They offer several ways to preserve the caricature, but I seem to remember my husband thought it was too much, lol.

We had it done in November. They had paintings of the hauntedM that i believe was $3o and we had a caricature done of my little sister (5) was the same price. They are in our Disney hallway and we ended up with a little extra suprise and definetly a night i wont forget.

The price and time will depend on how many people are in the portrait. It will take about 25min per person and don't exactly remember the price. It's different for a caricature or a portrait (and if it's your side profile or front). Don't remember exactly the price but I think we paid $50-60 for DGF & DS front portrait and it took about 45min - 1hr.
