Review Caribe Royale renovations?

Has anybody stayed at the Caribe Royale recently? I read in another thread that the refrigerators actually held the mini bar and were un-useable, but somebody else said they had refurbished to include regular mini fridges.

We are staying there in August, any other comments or suggestions regarding this hotel?

We stayed there over Spring Break 2009 and had a regular mini fridge in our room. We were able to keep milk, juices, water, etc. in ours to help cut down costs. I think they redid a lot of the rooms right before we came. Love that place!
