Caribbean or Hawaii in June 2012???

So I know it is very far off, but I'm trying to come up with a family vacation plan for 2012. This year we are doing WDW in November and in 2013 we plan to travel west (including a stop in DL). So I think 2012 will be a non-Disney year (our first since 2005) Yikes!

Anyhow, I was looking at the Caribbean or Bahams for after school is out, but it seems to begin a rainy season. I thought this may be a more affordable choice as we live on the East Coast. But I was also thinking on Hawaii.

I know all about planning Disney trips, but I'm lost on almost everything else.

Anyone have ideas, input, other discussion boards I could visit? I would really appreciate it.

If it helps, we are a family of 4 - the 2 kids will be 13 and 8.

I don't think your planning to early for 2012 because I am doing the same thing! I live in Delaware, not too far from you. Were actually thinking of doing a cruise, since it is so much more affordable. Have you been on a cruise or thought about that?
Ours won't be until October 2012, but were thinking of the 7 night Bermuda cruise.

Hawaii sounds great though!!

If you can swing Hawaii I say go for it! We were just on the Big Island 2 weeks ago and we had an amazing trip. It was one of our best family vacations ever.

I was going to suggest a cruise also, its a great vacation, easy to plan, pay for in advance and then sit back and enjoy!!
