I just saw a review on tripadvisor for Caribbean Beach where the woman had bed bug bites all over. Has anyone else dealt with this in the mods? I Know this was an issue a few years ago at POR. We have been playing around with staying at CBR for our next visit to DIsney, but now I'm not so sure.

There have been posts from DIS members who just returned from CBR and none made any mention of this.

There was a post last week from someone who had them in their room at one of the Epcot resorts. It can happen anywhere as they normally arrive via guests. So even if the report you read on Trip Advisor was accurate, and they reported it to management, it will have been rectified by now.

As a side note, as far as WDW resorts go, if I used Trip Advisor reviews I would never make a trip to the World. They tend to be extremely harsh.

We have stayed at CBR 3 times and never really had any problems with cleanliness and certainly no bed bug problems. I haven't heard any chatter on here of people with that problem at that resort...we certainly didn't encounter anything but it has been over a year since we've been there.

We were at CBR in April and did not have any issues with bed bugs. Honestly, I don't take TripAdvisor reviews seriously, especially for Disney resorts because a lot of the reviews are just odd and extreme

We stayed at CBR 2 years ago, and of the issues we had with CBR, bed bugs was not one of them.

You will find reports of bed bugs at every Disney resort in some place on the Internet or another. Unfortunately, there is no way of verifying whether the reports are true incidences or not.

The good thing is, that when there are confirmed reports, the report usually goes on to say how effectively Disney takes care of the situation.

Unless there was a barrage of similar reports in a closed time period, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at a resort because of a stray report.
