Caribbean Beach?

Now that I've finally decided to stay on property verses HIFS I'm considering changing my ressies from ASMo to Caribbean Beach if financially possible!We have stayed at ASMo our last 3 trips and LOVE it but thought something different might be nice.My DH and I always talk about going back to Aruba for a second honeymoon so maybe we can do both by staying at CB in Aruba section!haha
Anyways,I'm waiting for the codes to come out but was wondering if anyone stayed there last year the first week of december and if so what were the rates with discount?

P.S.Is this a good resort for almost 4 yr.old?

I'm not sure about the rates in December. We stayed there twice but both years it was in March. Our youngest was 9 months the first time ('99) and 2 years 9 months ('01) the last time. We love the resort. I'ts so incredible. Lying on a hammock looking out at the lake is my favorite spot! All 3 of our kids loved it. There's a "quiet pool" at each "island" section and then the main pool has a castle theme and there's a little kiddie pool there which our youngest loved. We're bummed that when we go in March '03 we can't stay there again because now our youngest is 4 and she "counts" as a person so our family of 5 can't be accomodated there anymore. When we stayed in march there was no discount and it was $219 per night (that included the fridge rental cost). Jamaica was our favorite building. It was across the lake from the main area, but it was easy to get there by the walking bridge. There is a playground on the island that you walk through and there's lots of talking parrots and other stuff that the kids loved. You won't regret staying there!!

Hi Antkim,
I had a rate of $84 for CBR last Dec. I hope the rates this year will be similiar. CBR is beautiful and a lot of fun for a 4 yr old. My kids love the pool with the slide, which is suitable for a 4 yr old. Also, rent the surrey bikes to ride around the lake. Your child can sit in front and be in charge of ringing the bell. There are nice, sandy beaches with a few hammocks and a playground or 2 spread around the resort. I personally like Trinidad North best, followed by Martinique, but all islands are really pretty, with tropical colors. Have fun!!

I just got a rate of 119.00 plus tax with AAA but have to talk to DH to see whether I should change ressies and hope for better dicounted rate.I'm thinking of having my mom call and book the CB because she is coming with us.I can't have 2 ressies in my name for same dates but I'm not sure I want to cancel ASMo until I find out what the rates will be-make sense?Although 119.00 a night is quite doable!!

I would grab Cbr at $119. I paid $129 plus tax in Feb 2001 and $99 plus tax in March 1999 so $119 is a good rate. Enjoy!!

Just talked to my DH and DM and we all agreed to book CB even if we do not get a better rate.I'm SO excited!We have stayed at ASMo the last 3 times and almost stayed off site for something new and affordable this year.Boy would that have been a mistake!I'm not saying off site is bad it's just being "on disney" is very exciting to ME!!!
I love ASMO but our stay is going to be limited this year and we only plan on doing parks 1 full day plus MVMCP so we will actually be able to enjoy the resort!
