Hi Folks,
Friends of mine are off to Disney and staying at the Caribbean. They will not be renting a car and want to know how they could get to the Boardwalk area. They would like to go for an evening, have dinner, and walk the boardwalk. I don't have an answer for them. Does anyone have the answer? Thanks in advance for your help.

This is how we did it when we stayed at CBR. We took a bus to DTD. Once there you transfer to a bus going to the Boardwalk. Hope this helps. ::MinnieMo

We just got back from our 10 day stay at Disney and 4 of them were at the Caribbean. We had reservations for dinner at Spoodles at the Boardwalk while staying at the Caribbean. I made plans to spend that day at Epcot and then we walked over to the Boardwalk for dinner. It took 10 minutes to walk and is a very pretty walk from the World Showcase area near France. They also have a boat at that entrance of Epcot that stops at Yacht and Beach Club, Swan and Dolphin and Boardwalk. If Epcot is closed when they want to leave, they can hop a bus in front of the Boardwalk and go to Downtown Disney to get a bus back to the Caribbean. We did this but we had ventured over to the Dolphin at this point and got a bus there.
If they don't want to go to Epcot but just Boardwalk then I would suggest taking a bus to any park and grabbing a bus for Boardwalk. Probably an Epcot bus would be fastest since it is fairly close to the Caribbean and then again it is close to the Boardwalk.

If MGM is open, they could connect through there (much quicker)b taking the boat or walking. Probably get to the BW through MGM but would have to go to DTD on the way back.

Easiest way to get there (and possibly quickest)

Take bus to MGM and then take the boat or walk to the Boardwalk.

If you take the bus to Epcot, there is no direct bus service from the front entrance to the Boardwalk. They would have to walk through Epcot (no always possible due to pass situation).
