Caribbean Beach Reviews Needed!

Our family loves CBR! We've stayed three times now, with two of the stays being 10 nights each. The theming is great, and the grounds are exquisite! It is a quiet resort, and that is one of the most important things to me. The last two trips we were in Martinique, buildings 22 and 24, respectively. Our first visit we were in Aruba 53. The resort is big, and you have to be prepared to walk or wait for a bus. I'm a walker, so I made my own way. I felt bad for those our in Trinidad South - that was a bit of a distance (especially in the heat). We stayed in Martinique so we were the first stop. One day (this was in June) the bus was full by Trinidad North - this is three stops down. I felt bad for the people waiting on the stops that were bypassed. I know they were sending additional buses, but still... We always rent a car and only take the bus to MK so it generally doesn't make a difference to us. If I were to stay in the Pirate rooms, I would make sure to rent a car to avoid the bus situation (both internal and external).

I hope you have a lovely trip!

:wizard: We love CBR...we stayed there a few years ago and switched for a couple of years to POR. Went back to CBR and are returning again in a few weeks. We love the relaxing atmosphere of the resort after a day in the parks. The fact that it's a little bigger and more spread out than some of the other resorts is a good thing, in our opinion....after the crush all day of parks, buses, etc, it's so nice to go back to CBR and grab a Pina Colada and just relax!
We have never had a problem with the transportation and actually found
CBR much better than POR as far as buses go....we just love it there!!

I was under the impression that Pop Warner stayed at the value resorts, no?

As I mentioned earlier, we have gone during pop Warner several times and it has never been an issue. Never saw any pop Warner groups while we were there. CBR is only for over flow if the values fill. Of course there may be families that decide not to stay at the values with their pop Warner teams. I know I'm going in March for UCA Nationals and have already booked my stay - NOT at the value resort with the rest of my daughter's All Star team - too many cheerleaders in one place for me. UCA is probably three times the size of pop Warner with a lot less supervision as a lot of the athletes are older, up to 18.
I wouldn't let pop Warner change your decision.

We didn't care for CB. We thought it was too spread out and we didn't like having to go to the bus stop to get coffee. The rooms were fine and the property itself was pretty, but we didn't care for how spread out it was. Depending on what building you get, you could be in for a LONG walk to the buses or to the common area.

A poster said CBR- you love it or hate it ;) I agree. My family stayed there a few years ago and I liked the resort a lot. We did pay for a preferred room so our location was close enough to OPR. My DD just told me yesterday that she would never stay there again. She hated that the bus service, too many stops before we even got out of the resort. The size was just too much of a detriment for her. She did not like that the custom house was a bus ride away. She just disliked it.

The ambiance of the resort is relaxed and tropical with lush greenery and lovely beaches. I enjoyed reading on the beach while my DGD played in the sand. I would stay again. :goodvibes But not with DD :lmao:
