Planning for a family reunion in Oct 04. We are thinking about staying at the CBR. Has anyone stayed there recently ? How are the rooms, were they refurbished?

Thx

I just got back on Thursday from an 8 night stay at CBR and loved it. My resort report is in the FAQ thread listed below. There is a huge amount of information in this lengthy thread. My post is about the third from the end on the last page.

By the way, our room was refurbished, it was lovely. I think all the rooms were done actually.

Hi

We stayed at CR last year and our refurbished room was clean and beautiful. We loved the resort, but our room was not very close to the main building where the shops and food court was. I was pregnant and found the extra walking a little tiring. It was a 5 minute walk to get some hot cocoa at night. Then again, maybe I was just pregnant and grumpy-I'd give anything to be there right now!!!

Have a great trip.

Six of us (5 adults, 3-year-old nephew) stayed at CBR for a week in November and we all LOVED it. Our room was clean and pretty, lots of good storage (a neat storage bench, under-sink shelves, coat rack with shelf), loved the privacy curtain.

We were in Martinique 25--very close to bus stop and a short walk to Old Port Royale.

The food court is really nice--we used grab and go quite a bit. We enjoyed one dinner at Shutters and really appreciated the long walking path around the lake, plus Parrott Cay Island.

To be honest, we enjoyed CBR even more than the Poly (stayed there in 2003), altho we missed the convenience of the monorail and did vist the Poly a few times for 'Ohana, Kona Cafe and coffee).

All the rooms have been refurbished and the food court was done a year ago. The CBR FAQ contains lots of good information and there are recent trip reports also.

We stayed at CBR 11/30-12/7/03 and loved it!!
We were in Barbados 16. It was a little far removed from the Food Court but we had a car. I felt it was better to be close to the exit than the food court. The walk wasn't bad though.
Everything was very clean. Even the laundry.
The room was big enough to put up a pack and play and still have room to move!
I would recommend it!

We were there from December 14-27, 2003. This was our third stay at CBR; and it was great as always. The nice thing about the resort is the fact that the room size is equal to several of the deluxes. We had a room with a king bed. There was plenty of space to move even with a full size crib, Christmas tree and fridge and microwave! (We drove and brought our own fridge and microwave with us.)

We also received excellent service when we were there! Look for our trip report that hopefully coming soon.

Thank you for all your wonderful input. I'm looking forward to planning my family reunion down there.
