Caribbean Beach Resort or Coronado?

If you were picking between the two, which would it be? We can't use the pool, so that shouldn't be a consideration. Cleanliness and ambience are important. But mostly we are looking for a resort property that we feel clean, comfortable, and can get to the parks without too much trouble. Can't justify a deluxe resort cost, but it isn't out of the question if there is a huge difference. I just don't see us in the room all that much or hanging around the hotel. We will be in the parks or at the beach.

I think Coronado is a better resort. The rooms are leaps and bounds above the rooms at CBR. Plus, it may not have the skyline, but it's a very centrally located resort that is easy to get to anywhere on property from. I'd stay there over CBR any day.

We just returned from Coronado and loved it! The theming is low key, but it fit our family. The rooms in the tower were large, modern, and well done. Access to the parks was a breeze (actually drove ourselves every day). Loved the modern elevators in the tower, which were fast and efficient to use even with only one group per elevator. We never had to wait long. Staff was friendly. Grounds were nice. Seemed calm and relaxing. Loved the little coffee bar in the lower lobby every morning. Quick service was back open and very convenient for snacks or light dinner. With older kids, it was the perfect hotel. And, after a visit to the Contemporary, I am so glad we ended up canceling reservations there and switching to Coronado. We saved thousands of dollars and liked the hotel more. Didn't get a chance to visit Caribbean Beach for comparison.

The one and only negative I can think of was the doors to the bathroom areas. The one to the toilet area was always stuck and difficult to open and close. The one to the shower/sink area left a giant gap at one end due to it being a poorly made barn door style. Not great for privacy.

Thanks for the advice everyone. It ended up being perfect for us. This turned out to be one of our favorite all time trips, which we weren't really expecting given all the precautions.

When I went to visit this year we did a bit of resort hopping. I stayed at POP but I will say that even with Disney not being crowded we waited for the buses at CSR for like 40 minutes. CBR has the sky liner and that’s easier to get around on. Could have been a fluke though.
