Caribbean Beach Resort FAQ

I have a picture on my website of the prices of the water craft and bikes at CBR. The marina closes around 5-6. We used to always rent the boats. They have a family plan that saves money.

The lake is a nice size, not a lot of things to do on it but ride around, under bridges was fun. The kids loved it. We also rented a pontoon boat.

Daughter was signed in when I posted.

We just got back yesterday. We stayed Saturday and Sunday at All Star Movies in the Buzz Building and then switched to the Caribbean Beach on Monday and stayed through Saturday.

We really really did not care for the All Star Movies, which is why we switched to Caribbean Beach. But we LOVED the Caribbean Beach

We were in Barbados #1554, on the second floor(which I prefer)and we had a view of the quiet pool to the right and the lake/beach to the left. The room seemed so spacious(esp. after the All Stars)and the kids loved the color scheme and towel animals.

We felt that the staff at CB was wonderful! They were so cheerful, much different than when we were at ASMo! The resort was beautiful and we loved watching the Epcot fireworks at night.

Our section was the second section(right after Martinque)from the main pool and food court. The walk to fill up or mugs was pleasant and not too long.

We also got th cutest picture of Mickey in "hawiian style" clothes that had a personalized Welcome message to us upon check in.

Also, if you have a little one you can rent lifejackets for your stay from the marina for the pools.

We really enjoyed the main pool but late night we loved being in our "quiet pool" it was never quiet though! LOL

Our transportation was pretty good except for E Night. We waited for a bus for over an hour!! And E Night ended at 2am!! So we didn't get back to our room until almost 3:30. I finally called the front desk on my cel phone to get a bus out there, when it finally showed up it broke down. At first I was getting a bad response from the front desk like it was just my family and we missed the bus, she finally got the clue when I yelled into the phone there's 50 people standing here wait, including a ton of kids and we've been here an hour!!!

That and the fact I wish the food court had more choices were the only downfalls. Other than that we LOVED it and would defitnely stay there again.

If you have any questions feel free to ask

Here are some of our pictures, there are only 2 shots of the CB but I thought I'd post 'em anyways

So much info on this resort. This is probably one of the more popular resorts at WDW. I guess I'm glad we pick CBR for our land part of our vacation. Thanks to everyone for all the details and reviews regarding this resort.

2 days before our land/sea vacation!!

Which building in Aruba? I would like to send in a request to stay in Aruba-since we went to the "real" Aruba for our honeymoon! What building(s) is not too far from the bus stop-but quiet?

Thanks! :p

There is a map on my web site of CBR. It is the map provided at check in. It has the bus stops marked.

What is the appropriate daily amount to tip the mousekeepers? There will be 4 of us - 2 teenagers.

Just back from our trip to the World. We had a one night reservation at ASMo. We arrived and were upgraded to the CBR because there were no rooms left. What a nice surprise.

We were in the Barbados section on the first floor. Well let me tell you all, if you are a little nervous about this resort , don't be. It is absolutely wonderful, the grounds are absolutely beautiful our room was very nice. It was very clean, very colorful, I really liked the way the bathroom was set up, 2 double sinks out side the shower. Alot of room in that area and I also thought the room was large enough for the 4 of us, it also has a bench seat with a drawer under it for extra storage. I love the shower curtain, check out the mickey's on it. I still want one, I was going to take it but I'm sure they would of noticed it gone.

We did have a nice court yard outside our door, it had the cast iron chairs and tables and benches, very cozy and looks like a nice place to sit and relax or to read a book.

I think any room would be nice. If you are concerned about getting a parking lot view don't be. It looked to me that all the trees and flowers and bushes would block the parking lot.

We really enjoyed our short stay there, we wished we were able to spend a little more time exploring the grounds.

So if you have reservations at this wonderful resort go and enjoy adn have a wonderful stay.

We've stayed at POR when it was Dixie Landings, and I would stay at Caribbean over POR anytime.:D :D

dsnylndmom-We were on the same bus e-night! Sounds like we had the same schedule! We stayed at ASM for 2 nights before moving to CBR; in Fantasia bldg; complimentary up-grade because they couldn't give us connecting rooms. On e-night, we sort of took our time leaving the park. The boys stopped at Casey's for hot dogs, so we were last in line for the bus. But we did see the bus pull-up and break down. Wish I would have known there was a fellow Dis Board member in line! I swear one of these times on a Disney bus I'm going to yell "WHO'S HERE FROM THE DIS BOARDS?!". (Only kidding; but I would have loved to meet you!) Thanks for calling the front desk e-night!
At CBR we were in Jamacia. Loved the location and this resort!

I meant to post a question here and instead started a new thread!

I'm so frazzled! Could someone who knows CBR please read the thread and respond? Thanks!

I am sure that this information is located in this thread somewhere...but is there bell service at CBR? I am just trying to get a feel for the size of the resort. If we stay in Aruba is it a long walk from check in to our village? Will we need to use bell service (if available)? Thanks! :)

I was just curious what kind of rate everyone was getting for carribean beach this time of year. We are planning to go and was just wondering if the rate for the sept/oct time frame was going to be rack rate. Thanks for any info. Our trip is still a year away. Seems so long to wait!!

Yes you will probably want to use bell services if you are in Aruba. The stand is at the Customs house where you check in. They do have shuttles that can get you to your room.

We were at CB Friday and Saturday nights (August 15th and 16th). We spent the first 5 nights of our vacation at BCV, and our last two at CB. We should have done it the opposite (but couldn't due to scheduling) because I think we would have appreciated CB much more if we had not just spent 5 nights at BCV!

Even so, we really enjoyed it (we were in Trinidad North, Building 33). Not a far walk at all to the pool or Port Royale. The food court was great, also.

However, the staff at BCV was much friendlier, accommodating, etc. We had to call a number of times to get our fridge, and even then they weren't overly friendly. But, I think if we weren't just getting over our superb stay at BCV, I probably wouldn't have even noticed!

The grounds (Trinidad North, anyway) were beautiful and our room was very nice, also.

When we were checking out on Sunday (around 9:30ish maybe) I saw a family checking in with a lime green ribbon tied to a couple of their suitcases...there was also another color tied with the green so I didn't say anything but was wondering if it was a DIS'er! Was anyone checking in on Sunday the 17th?

Just spent the last 4 hours reading this thread, fantastic! Wanted to ask your advice safetymom, This is my 10th time coming to Disney but first time on site. As this year I will celebrate my Birthday whilst we are here and it is our 10th wedding anniversary as well I wanted to know if there are any rooms that you can watch illuminations from? I noticed before that you said you watched it from Martinique, since my husband and I are both smokers we were thinking of requesting Martinique 21 or Trinida North 31 which would you suggest?

I think it would be hard to see Illuminations from a room. If you wanted to stroll out to the beach to watch the fireworks Martinique would probably be better.

I don't know when you are going but both of those buildings will become preferred in 2004. They will cost an additional $15 per day to stay there.

You have picked a great resort for your celebrations.

I have 2 questions!

1. DH likes to have a relaxing post-park alcoholic drink at the end of the day. I know CBR doesn't have a Lounge like PO-R, so where could he get this and up until what time at night? This would be in Nov.

2. Does anyone know where the Handicapped rooms are located?
