Caribbean Beach Resort FAQ Part 3

Since some have asked, just want to mention that there are pool towels located in a stand situated in the pool area next to fence for the pirate ship area. They are different than room towels.

We had a little sign by our sink saying to take room towels since there are no towels at the pool, but that isn't the case.

The whole section is being converted.

We checked out 9/24 from TS bldg. 35; I only walked around bldgs. 34, 35 & 36 and saw no work being done. I did not walk all the way around the other 3bldgs. I would think the sort of work being done will be time consuming so not sure when they will be finished the whole section. I was told by Mousekeeping that the floors will be wood instead of carpet. (not sure if real hardwood)

How did you like TS, Bldg 35 location? I have requested Aruba or Jamaica, but, really considering changing to TS Bldg 35 for the quietness/sereness. I also think it would be neat not to have any villages across from you (if your lucky enough to get a lake view). Also...can you tell me how the walk to the main pool/busses to the parks was? (I know it looks like TS is last for pickup @ CBR)

The take your own towel to the pool was probably for the Quiet Pools,
most Main Pools have Towels Carts for the guest to get when using the Main pool but the quiet don't have this.

I wonder if the fact that they are changing rooms at trinidad south to pirate rooms will at all effect our request to have a t.s. room this Nov. Are they rehabbing all the rooms at t.s., every one of them? They didn't say anything when I requested, but who knows?

From what I've read the Pirate Rooms in TS will not be available until
next year, January by the earliest.
We requested a Pirate room for next year--Sept. trip.

I also wondered about the flooring if it would be wood or not--
I think there are carpets that have the plank wood look and maybe that
is what they will use.

I'm looking forward to staying there knowing that the room will be
newly refurbished. I'm not sure if I will be as thrilled about the distance
to the Main Pool and Food court. I'm trying to possitive though-I'm sure
I will be just fine.

Which buildings will be (are) pirate themed and which buidlings are Nemo themed. The Nemo room pictures looked very nice.

Also - since this is a very large resort- how crowded does the main pool get ? I know resort pools do get crowded on hot afternoons.
But how about when the pool opens at 9 AM ?

Thanks for your help.

Only 3 weeks till we go. We are excited about the new pool can't wait. Does anyone have a link to a map that shows the rooms numbers and their location?? Thanks for the help.

Kathy, finally had time to visit the blog - it's wonderful! Thank youfor tkaing the time to post so many photos.

So happy to get a good look at the renovated rooms and delighted to see it is new carpert - like the flowers in the carpet (do not remember flowers before, but could have forgotten). :)

Cannot wait to get down for at least a long weekend and enjoy a vacation within a vacation for a few days.

Think I'll have a peek at those new discounts or AP rates for early December. ;)

Thanks again! :flower3:

This is a great thread, we are staying at the the CBR from October 17th to the 27th and are so excited.
We have never stayed here before and are looking forward too it.

We will be celebrating My sons 10th birthday on the 23rd,
my daughters 8th un-birthday on the 19th,
my parents 35th anniversary also on the 23rd,
and our 12th anniversary on the 26th.

Personally, I prefer seeing the villages across the lake. I know from this site others prefer the more secluded feel of TS.

Bldg. 35 is closer to the food court than some of the other bldgs. All the way to food court was about 7 mins. (I crossed over the street instead of taking walkway under the bridge, which may be a tad longer)

TS is the last stop for some buses. During peak times, we had to stand a couple of times on the way to the park. Other times it was no problem.

I offically am booked now for July 09! We got a standard view pirate room! I hope they look as good as the drawing on the webpage. my DS will love it. Were celebrating my Dh's 40th b-day while we are there too!
Just a quick question. I am sure it is covered but I may have missed it in the 150+ pages.
At peak times such as opening time at the parks does each bus tend to have a start at different sections each time? For example the 1st bus stops at stop 1-2-3, etc, then the next bus starts at 4-5? Does that make since to anyone?

I am sure the info I seek is in here somewhere, but I have been reading and reading and haven't yet found my answer..... are all of the Martinique rooms being remodeled with the Nemo theme? I've seen reference to Barbados also being rehabbed. Are they also getting Nemo themed rooms or just up-dates? Thank you!

If you are referring to picking up at CBR, then all buses either enter front gate or back gate. If front gate, Martinque is first stop and Barbados last; if back gate Jamaica is first and TS is last.

With the exception of Trinidad South, all the villages in CBR will be remodeled with Nemo. TS will be Pirates.

Martinque is finished with re-do; they are working on Barbados right now.

Do you know which bldgs in Barbados is finished with the new Nemo rooms?

Very cool - we like Nemo. Our kids are teens - They do think the Nemo show at AK is a bit babyish and will not ride or wait for the Nemo ride at EPCOT (unless it is to see the Starfish trying to get out at the end of the ride).
But they like the Nemo movie and Dory.

My DD even has a Nemo plush - but she put a pink cool hat on Nemo.

We like tropical theming - so Martinique will be requested :goodvibes
