As always, great pictures...

Its' interestesting that they removed the bridge from the old fortress:

Old Pool:

New Pool:

I think it was a smart move, it definitely makes the pool look bigger and more open.

I also like the lighting on the new fortress. It looks almost like its on fire with the orange coloring they used.

Haha, definitely very hopeful. I think we enjoy doing it because it gets us excited about these things too!

On that note, here is my pool update..a bit late..but still here. Pictures first:

Kiddie area, complete and ready to go, only waiting on the fencing to be finished

Okay here's the general update. Pool opening remains somewhere around
September 6th/7th, I think the 8th at the latest. As stated before there are two hot tubs supposedly able to hold 15 people each, looks closer to 10 or so. The cannons on the old fortress are said to be working again (haven't seen this with my own two eyes yet). The kiddie area is complete. The bathroom buildings are one of the final things needing to be finished. (The new bathrooms are huge in case anyone was interested). I believe there is also a companion restroom. There will be a handicapped lift on the pool deck. Three lifeguards will initially guard the pool. The slide is equipped with a red light/green light system so children hopefully don't go down on top of each other.

That's all I can think of for now. Any other questions feel free to ask and I'll either have an answer or find an answer. pirate:

For anyone interested these pictures were taken just before sunrise this morning (8/29) so the lighting is a bit odd. I apologize for some of the blurry pictures.

Enjoy!

Thanks so much for the informtaion and pics! The kids area and slides look great. My DS is really looking forward to this resort. The red/green light on the slides are a great safety feature as well.

Update- 8/31

There are loungers stacked up on the pool deck. Roof is on the bathroom building. Netting is up at the deep end of pool on the lake side.

They are working on the rooms in Barbados.

Are there coffee filters in the room? I am definately planning on bringing my own coffee, I'm just not sure if I need to bring filters along too.

The Bus service to the parks, was very slow?
Our average wait was about 30 plus mins.

By the middle of the week I just started driving our
car to the parks.

I noticed thier were signs up, about something
different with the bus routes.

This was the was a great resort, I would like to stay here again,
but kinda was hoping that the bus service last week was a one
time thing.

Maybe it was just my luck?

I read somewhere on this forum last week that CBR is getting queen beds. Are they replacing all the double beds with queens? When will the replacements be complete?

You most likely read that about CSR, Coronado Springs Resort.

kaysmommie;

GREAT JOB AT KEEPING US UP TO DATE!

This will be our 1st trip to CBR and of course, any heads up is great!
I think that between people like you, (including safetymom) my family and I will have a great stay at CBR without many regrets..
I am a CSR girl that doesn't like change....but due to my dh tantrum, I caved in. CBR here we come.

This is the quote I was referring to:

How about it Safetymom, any words of wisdom?

Loving the new news that the pool might open 9/6 or 9/7!!! We will get there 9/4 and leave 9/7 but my birthday is 9/6!! What a great way to spend my birthday!! :D I really hope the decide to open it 9/4 though!! I want to get in that pool my first night!! I will be sure to post some new pics!!:cheer2:

I know most people who have stayed in Trinidad South did not care for it because it was so remote and took awhile to walk to OPR. Now with the new themeing of the rooms in Trinidad South and so many people wanting to book these rooms I'm anxious to see how people will feel about the location.

Whenever we have stayed at CBR we always request Aruba...absolutely love the location!!! I know my son would love to stay in the new pirate themed rooms, however, I don't feel we would like the location of Trinidad South. Anyone else feel the same?

Just wanted to throw a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has posted with the wonderful information on this resort. Last January we stayed at POR and had a blast. We noticed the bounceback discount and decided to book it, what the heck. We initially had discussed CSR as our mod this time around but were told there was no availability with bounce back. I must admit I was hesitant at first to try CBR but we wanted something different from where we had just stayed this time around. Having read all these posts we are looking forward to our stay. Our last trip was total commando....scheduled out to the minute pretty much, but not so this time. We are thinking that taking a more relaxed approach will fit in well with the theme of this resort...the beaches, the amazing new pool complex (which will hopefully be open by the time we get there) and the banana cabana of course! Hoping for good weather, no hurricanes and loads of candy at MNSSHP (another first) Ya'll have been great and if anyone will be there when we are(9/22-9/28) be sure to say hi!

I just had to say that I absolutely love your collage! How did you do this? I'd love to make one myself!

Thank you! Another DISer made it for me -- her name is Natale1980 -- I am sure if you PMed her, she could explain how she did. :goodvibes
