Caribbean Beach Resort FAQ Part 3

Hi gang,

Well it's finally here, the towncar is picking us up at 4am, our flights departs at 6am and arrives at orlando at 8:30am. I wanted to personally thank many of you for the work you all put into this thread, making one of the best! I will try to get pics of the pool and hopfully new rooms. Anyone have any request on any pics they would like to see??? I never went to kodak college, so i will do my best with any pictures.

See you all there!!

Take lots of photos around the resort. The pictures posted here are what help us pass the time until our next WDW trip!

I was just wondering why Disney is telling me when I call that you cannot book a refurbished room until 2009? I have a ressie for Pop, but have stayed at values and know how crowded they really can be, so we thought the new rooms would be great to try, but I called and was told they cannot be booked until 2009! What is the deal? My family just about went nuts with ASMo room and loved the price at Pop...just can't decide what hotel to use. My girls would love a Nemo room, and I thought those are being booked now. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I think they may be referring to the new pirate themed rooms. You can book a new Nemo room right now. They are in the preferred Martinique buildings 24and 25 should be ready soon. We were in room 2425 in Martinique from 8/9 to 8/16. The room was one of the new Nemo rooms. I posted pictures of the room earlier in this thread.

That is what I thought, I just called them back. They said they have not "officially" announced their opening so cannot specifically book them. I asked to put a request in for a refurbished room and we will see how far that gets. Do you know if they are all considered preferred rooms in those Martinique buildings because she told me only standard was available. I think we will be happy here and really the difference for CBR from Pop was minimal considering I get a fridge! Thanks for you input!

There are standard rooms that have been refurbished. The pirate rooms are a bookable category costing extra.

I checked the Orlando weather. It looks like it will be sunny for most of the day. Maybe the can get more of the pool completed today...

Well lets just pray that it stays away from WDW. I am flying out Wednesday morning from New Orleans and I am praying for great weather and a great time in WDW. I also am hoping for a magical surprise (CBR pool opening). We check in on Wednesday 8/27 and check out on Wednesday 9/3, and would love to get to splash around in the new pool at CBR. I will take lots of pics.
