Hello fellow Louisiana resident! Thanks for your super honest review of the CBR. We've stayed there three years in a row and start our next drive to the CBR in just 14 days!

Thanks so much for your great review....I was getting a little nervous when your DH was thinking of switching resorts. We are going in Sept for the first time and can't wait. It looks like such a fun resort for the kids and adults! I have a question, the bar by the pool, what kind of drinks do they offer? Beer, spirits? My DH was asking me, like I knew? I guess he figured I'm on these boards 24/7 I should know!

I can't answser specifically about the drinks as we've never stayed at the CBR. However, oldest DS was there a couple of weeks ago, and he and his girlfriend had different tropical drinks a couple of nights while they were there and I know my son also had beer.

When we were there in 2007, they had a variety of drinks, beer, wine and fruity, frozen drinks. I think they had a full bar too.

Thanks for the report. We have been or I have been around 27 times and have never stayed a CBR. I can hardly wait we usally stay at POFQ. We did see a alligator once at CSR. I only have 3 more months to go.

Great review -- I was at CBR with my family pretty much the same dates and couldn't agree more with the review! We loved it! We were in one of the pirate room which was awesome! Never had to wait long for a bus and had a wonderful time in both the main pool and the quiet pool cloosest to our room.

Wonderful that you enjoyed CBR! The pirate rooms sound fun. We never got around to going in the quiet pools, but they did look inviting and relaxing.

Hi there! I have read your posts about CBR many times and love that you take the time to spread your love for the place. I do know what you are feeling right now, so exciting! I won't do a trip report, don't think I have it in me to do that. I admire those who take the time to do one. I do lurk ALOT on the trip reports and I have been popping in on yours, it is a very popular one. I will have to make a point to go in and say hi now. I will post pictures here on the resort board when I get the time to sign up and figure it all out. Thanks!

I think there are many people like us who can't get enough of WDW, there really is no other place like it! I've read of the alligator at CSR, but didn't know one hung out at CBR. It didn't look like it was very big though. Hope the next 3 months go by fast for you, but planning and DIS-ing is a big part of the fun!

I too have only stayed at the value hotels. This will be our first time at CBR. So you can really tell the room size is bigger? I didn't know if it was much bigger or not. Square footage is bigger but sometimes it doesn't take much. Is it much spacier? Thanks!!

The extra space is mostly when you walk into the room. There is more room between the wall and the bed. At the values, you practically walk into the bed. The extra space in this case would not make or break my decision on where to stay, but it was nice.
