Before I book I just wanna make sure I'm understanding their bus system... Going in mid Nov b4 thanksgiving..
So that have an internal bus that takes you only within CBR? what are the wait times on that?
&
Another bus that picks you up at your island stop for the parks.. what if it's full from other islands? How is the run time on that?
&
a bus at the main entrance that goes straight to the parks w/o going around to the island stops?

1. It runs in a continuous circuit of all the bus stops, including the Custom House. I've never timed it, but probably every 15 minutes. Ish.

2. On average, they run every 20 min to each park. They come more frequently before park opening, when demand is highest. If a bus fills before or while at a particular stop, another bus is called to pick up the excess; usually getting there in just a couple of minutes.

3. Nope. The main entrance stop is the Custom House. Park buses don't stop there.

I stayed at CBR in 09/2013. Bus service was very good. We were in Jamaica and busses for HS and EP typically came in the back entrance and picked us up first. MK, DTD and Ak typically came in the front entrance and we were 5th stop. I don't recall ever seeing a bus so full we couldn't get on. As minnie mum said though, if they do fill up, they call another bus. One thing I noted about our stay at CBR versus Pop in prior trips was that I rarely had to stand on CBR busses where at Pop I felt like I was always standing. Unfortunately no busses go straight to the parks, they will hit all islands and OPR. Depending which island you are at, you may have limited other stops before gonig to the park, and more stops on your way back.

Regarding the internal bus, we found it much faster to walk to OPR. We did not need to go to Custom House other than checking in and to get the magical express home. There is a guest services desk at OPR if you need anything. If you haven't already requested an island, I would check out the map and put in a request.

We have reservations for week of October 14, I requested close to transportation, and close to main building. We have 2 with disabilities, one limited mobility and in a wheelchair. What Island should I specify?
And how likely will we get 4 rooms, close to each other, and close to main building and transportation!?! I am worried that we picked the wrong resort based on its size and our needs... Please advise! And thank you!

Did you book a Preferred or Standard room?
we booked standard rooms, originally all 4 were booked as "accessible" but we really only need 1 to have an accessible tub or shower! It is most important that we are close together, then close to transportation...

Every village has it's own bus stop so no matter where your room is you will be close to a stop.

How important is close to the main building? If you make requests be sure to put them in order of importance. And keep them to things you really need, that way the room assigner will know what is important to you.

Just wanted to add that there no longer is a main building!:)

OPR has gone bye-bye for now.

I guess the request could be "close to the Tent"!lol:)

If Barbados is now closed and trinidad south is all pirate rooms, then is there a section that we would not want to be, for the mobility issues?

Not really. The most desirable locations would be Aruba 51 and Jamaica 45.
